Ive only ever had one dose that made senseThat dose indeed make sense thanks
Yes because when I go I am on holiday visiting family and can have a beer fest before, during and after. Burnley 2/11 next for me and got my points(not that I reckon I'll need them) I just realised 3pm er. Oh well,Spoons Eccy Road then match and afters. I need to order the S2 4SU badge too.Anyone at home love night matches at the Lane. One downside to being in the Premiership not many night games.
Oh well, Salford or Accrington away then.Is still north/ south draw in R2 so no chance of a southern team.
thanksThey do this because
a) They ultimately need to get it down to an 'inifinite series' - i.e. keeps being divisible by 2 to get to a final of 2, e.g. R32 --> R16 --> QF(8) --> SF (4) --> F(2).
b) There are 92 teams that take part so they can't start with all teams because that's not divisible by 2 all the way down to the final.
c) They don't want teams taking part in Europe to start in the early rounds
d) They don't want Prem teams in the first round
So in order to get down to a 'last 32' they take 70 teams in the first round giving 35 winners. This excludes the premier league teams plus the two teams who finished in 18th and 19th in the premier league the previous season - hence why Huddersfield are in the first round as they finished 20th. These are then joined by another 15 teams in the second round to give 50 teams, 25 winners. These are then joined by 7 more teams in the third round (the top 7 from the previous season? - Most likely to be in European action) to give the round of 32 which is then divisible by 2 all the way to the final.
All makes sense?
Phew!
The fact that Leeds v Class of 92 is chosen ahead of a genuine rivalry summarises everything that is wrong with football.
At home to Blackburn
Sounds like a nailed on Blackburn win!!Lost both games so far in Championship this season, rock bottom with zero points. Lucky to get past Oldham in the cup tonight with 2 stoppage time goals at the death. Shouldnt have too many issues.
blackburn, nice to be at home would like to win wouldn't be distraught if we lost as league cup doesnt matter til 4th rd, you dont get prize money til semi finals with £25,000 (losing finalists £50,000 winners gets £100,000) & rather have a run in FA Cup with its prestige
is it sacrilege to say i sense a upset & blackburn might beat us
Will more than likely be a banana skin because we'll not take it seriously
Staying up will be more important
10/10![]()
It does but having to post it on a football forum is like going on a mechanics message board and having to explain what a spark plug is.
Losing to Barnet > Losing to Blackburn
This is the same fella who called him Chris Montgomery.10/10![]()
