A while ago, someone posted a link to a podcast or YouTube clip of ex-footballers telling stories about the game. This one was a funny story about McGoldrick.

Does anyone have a link to it, it can’t find it anymore and I need something to watch through the night... too excited to sleep.

Thanks in advance

Currently listening to these. Really interesting, and quite a few Blades references.
Only one didn't enjoy was the Liam Lawrence one, just because he sounds like he is a right knob.
Now up to the Mark Crossley one, which is great and some right stories about Cloughy.

Recommend if you have time to listen and missing football podcasts.

Anyone know why Parkin hates Del Geary so much?

If you thought Lawrence was bad, wait until you hear Leon Knight...Bruv! Full weight knob.

There’s Hoyland & Morgs and a Michael Brown episode for those wanting something Blades-centric

Theres quite a lot of ones that are blades related. The Leon Knight one though is an eye opener. What a prick he is!

Yeah these are really good, for the original poster if you like these i’d recommend The Magic Sponge with Jimmy Bullard some of the stories are unreal.

It’s been a while since I listened to them but I remember the Graham Stack ep was funny, absolute nutcase. Nearly every single episode had me laughing though.

Four Blades in a Pub podcast is a good laugh, for those who haven't yet listened to it. John in particular cracks me up.

Have they got better?

I gave up on the first one (in the Stag?) due to abysmal sound quality and haven't been back since.

Yeah i'd say so. I always listen to them on my earphones, usually helps a bit.

I listen at work on a PC. The background pub noise made it very hard to pick out what they were saying so I gave up, but if your think they're better, I might give them a go again.

The sound quality definetly got better as I thought the same after the first one. Will listen to the new one after I've listened to Beans Bladespod tonight as Im walking the dog.

Undr The Cosh is brilliant, the Mark Crossley episode is one of the best for the Cloughie stories alone. I saw Parkin tweet the other day that they were interviewing Neil Shipperley so that will be another Blades related on to listen out for.

I found this one reslly interesting. Some funny anecdotes but quite interesting insight

The latest episode with John Beresford is also excellent with some Sheff Utd references too.
Agreed, “Bez” was a very easy listen (even over 2.5hrs) and great insight into that Newcastle team

Sounds like a proper Blade as well given he was going to half his wages to play in the Spackman team. Although, his arrival might have meant no Vas Borbokis, so glad he didn’t sign 😉

I met him a few years ago as his missus was a friend of my missus at the time. We bumped into them in Nonna's when we were out, i'd never met him before but he was probably the most decent guy i'd met, more interested in me and my life than talking about himself. And yeah, he's a huge Blade and loves a drink.

Very easy listen. As funny as the Beesley episode was the need to say fuck(jng) every other word, bored me. Trust me, I swear but to that excess was boring. Bez was far more articulate and could be a very good pundit, if he isn’t already (?)
