Opinion so far.

Bournmouth controlling possession but all their build up work is really slow and proving easy to defend against.
We’re set up quite defensive playing a containing game and we’re succeeding.
Henderson has only touched the ball once.....when he easily caught a cross under no pressure.
Where as their goalie, although also not doing much, has had to pull off 2 good saves.

So it’s good news so far.....I suppose the decision for Wilder is do we step it up and go more attacking 2nd half
Because Bournmouth look surprisingly lethargic and underwhelming, it’s as though they are lulling us into a false sense of security
Holding back not trying.....saving their energy for the 2nd half. Bournmouth do look poor.

Played well there blades, worked their socks off.

No overlapping CBs yet but, if we can keep it tight for a bit longer, they’ve earned the right to have a go.

We’ve defended very well, but too sloppy on the ball for the most part – too many instances of hitting the strikers long and early. Think it took till about 35 mins before Henderson stopped smashing it up from goal-kicks.

That said, we've come into it and finished the stronger.

Phew! Still in this match despite fielding what is basically still our Pub team.
Connor Sammon has already got on the score sheet, and Chris Porter has a brace..... what are we missing!!

I'd hope Sharp or McBurnie comes on and Freeman.

There's an awful lot of good stuff from our perspective in a not very exciting half.

A few nervy touches in there but mostly I think our mistake has been being too cautious. We've been playing it long from Hendo when the evidence so far suggests we're more than capable of passing it about. On the ball we've been excellent. I can understand not going gung ho in your first match at this level but that half shows that we can afford to be a bit more adventurous and I'd expect Lundstram to give way to a more attacking option.

First impressions, there's nothing to suggest we can't match teams like Bournemouth. How long till I eat those words?

Mmm...agree with the comments mostly but they do look quick up front and I cant believe how big they are as a team.

We dont seem quite confident enough to commit.more.men forward which is causing a lot of backward passing.

However very good first half for us, we had 2 good chances and apart from a mix up which presented Mempham with a very good chance they havent had any real chances

Freeman is the key and would allow our forwards to play 10 yards further up.

Rubbish half of football but the weather is obviously playing a huge role. We need to settle and play a bit. Too many long balls but strikers both causing Bournemouth a few problems. JoC looks like a man who is missing game time. They had a few dangerous counters where our lack of pace looked worrying. Midfield is struggling a bit but you can see why Chris wanted an extra man in there.

Has to be said, it's like playing against 11 Jack Grealishes. Any contact and they're diving for cover!

Yes this is as predicted. Ball comes out to lundtram crying out for a Duffyesq cute forward pass and he kills the move with a 10 yard wide soft shot. Never mind Great defensive performance so far and I am optimistic we can win this. Superb blades support

That's a great first half, were playing our first game in the premier league and we haven't looked out of place and I would say we've had the best chances.
