besic is a cunt and a nutcase, youll see it yourself, people in bosnia&herzegovina love him cause of it, bul also cause he always gives maximum effort and the fans always love to see that... he makes a couple of tackles (and he loves to tackle) and fans go crazy

in his second season at everton he had a couple of injuries and in the last preseason game in his third season, suffered a bad injury and im not sure hes the same player today he once was (cause he spent season and a half in the championship and couldnt find a club in the top five leagues), but this season will give us the clear picture, given hell play in the premier league

he had a great game against argentina at the world cup (which sold him to everton), had a great game against bale (wales), had some great games for everton, was "player of the month" at everton, but injury here and there and that bad injury pretty much ended his career at everton

sheffield utd is his chance to show he has the quality to be a premier league player and i believe in him and hopefully it will work for him

Laki,

Thanks for your detailed report. We must be like the Bosnian fans because most Blades also love a tough tackling nutcase giving 100% playing for us.

Since having Wilder as manager we’ve been attack minded, so the focus has been on attacking midfielders.
However in the PL the standard is very high, so the defensive midfielder role becomes really important.
We’re not that strong in the “defensive midfielder” area, so if Besic plays well he could play quite a lot of matches for us this season.

Don’t worry pal, Sheffielder’s love nutcase.

Would he beat Sead Kolasinac in a fight?
kolasinac is much bigger & stronger, also likes to train boxing, so barring a lucky punch, kolasinac would beat him

but theyre both crazy, so it would be a good one probably

I think he's a great player. I don't want him to leave the lane. Is there anything circulating about us signing him on a permanent?

I can’t see it, not until the summer at least. He’s not going to sign to sit on the bench, so he needs to get more game time first.

Could Mo be returning?

Would make a lot of sense. We're going to need a bit more depth in midfield, him and Swift almost completes the midfield with or without Lundstram.

I'd ideally love Eze to complement that.

This seems slightly strange. I was assuming either Mo wanted to go back or Wilder didn't want him here.

I agree It would be odd but it would be interesting to see when his contract expires or maybe how much Everton wanted to extend the loan?

Would like him back personally, love his work rate and his bulldozer tackles.

The niggling worry is that he plays in a position that Everton have struggled with for years no and yet never really had a run.

This is the title of the article "Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder remains interested in Everton outcast Muhamed Besic" but I can't see any source/reasoning for that that in the actual article.

Isn't it just local paper-style speculation, based on nothing?

with the way the loan ended it seems strange, but he neer let us down so Id happily have him back. Ads depth and would be free so yep if CW wants him lets have it.

I'd definitely take him back. A very tidy player, a good professional, competitive, covers 2 positions in midfield (could he do a job at RWB too?), would seem a sensible squad signing.

I'd assume players like Besic will already earn much more than our top players - so the chances of us signing him are slim to none...

It's that dilemma of when we start pushing the boat out and signing guys on £50k a week? For when we do you get there'll be a long queue outside Chris' office if/when we do...
