It's not his job to make key passes though so the figures look a bit underwhelming

Sounds like perfect cover/competition for Fleck & Norwood to me. Would prefer a DM in the mould of Norwood (good passer, comfortable on ball, bit of bite in the tackle) rather than a big sh*thouse who is primarily an athlete. I think we need to stick to the principles that have got us this far.

I think people who expect us to play a flat three with a defensive midfielder in front of fleck and Norwood don't really understand how we play

With no attacking midfielder we will just get strangled out of possession and Norwoods specific role in the team is to drop deep creating a pivot for one of the wing backs to go forward allowing the centre back to overload that side

If we stop doing what's made us successful we will be the bog standard defensive scuttlers many pundits already think we are and will go down without s fight

When he signed for Everton he signed a 5 year deal in 2014 so by my maths he should be out of contract, but presumably signed an extension at some point? It seems he's not wanted by Everton so this could a great chance to sign him permanently in the future.
