The way I read it is that players can still go out to a league with an open window, so we could still have players going out to leagues 1 & 2 on loan until 2nd September (when their window shuts).
I may be way off, it's not that clear
Which the Brentford fans will be on here to tell is all our fault no doubt, even though we never put a bid in for him.I wouldnt be bothered about him now.
His agent has pretty much scuppered his chance of playing in the EPL. (At least until Jan)
Now unfit and seemingly not in the right frame of mind.
As is apparent to all, McBurnie just hinges on the medical now, can’t see there been any problems. Few legal problems surrounding the keeper so not sure what’s going to happen there. Maupay and his agent now touting themselves around again as the higher end interest never materialised but think we’ve moved on to be fair. Think there could also be one, maybe two more in before the window closes, but lots of hush hush at the moment and no names standing out as firm to report on. If I hear anything I’ll post, if not see you in January. UTB.
Really don't want to be the voice of Doom & Gloom here but everything seems to going a little too well with regard to our pre-season Transfers.
This is Sheffield United we're talking about after all.
I sincerely hope I'm wrong (and if I am wrong I'll be getting my knob out) but just got that typical 'Sheffield United Type' feeling that there's about to be some kind of sting in the tale . . . . . . . . . . . Please No!!!
He's completely f**ked himself up. He heard his name banded around with Villa/ West Ham and thought he's too good for us. If he stays and fails to replicate last season then his big money move will be down the pan.I’d shit myself laughing if Maupay rocks up unfit for Brentford and scores about 5 goals next season.
I was upset about Tudor leaving. My dad hadn't planned in going to our next away game (Oxford) but decided to go and my disappointment got eased. We won 2-1 and I was surprised to see that one of our new signings sported a beard!Babe in arms!In my over fifty-seven years
, the only window that comes close was January 1971. Our great manager - John Harris - knew we needed a re-shuffle and brought in John Hope, Trevor Hockey and David Ford. We'd just sold John Tudor to Newcastle, the fans were (rightly) pissed off but signing these three (especially Hockey) was a game-changer. There were 17 games of the season left, we lost only two and were promoted back to the top flight.

Don't worry, there's still a risk of us signing a keeper from a bent club and getting embargoed for it.
I'm passed the doom and gloom. I can't wait!
Yes but the people who look for things to go wrong all the time, the type who say ‘happy birthday, you’re a year closer to death’ aren’t really welcome at this party. Let’s just enjoy the next couple of weeks without listing stuff that could go wrong.Ownership?
I am loving the moment, I am not looking for things to go wrong, always been an optimist, the question, although a little tongue in cheek was after the best window only united could spoil it, the only thing that sprung to mind was the ownership issue, not trying to spoil the momentYes but the people who look for things to go wrong all the time, the type who say ‘happy birthday, you’re a year closer to death’ aren’t really welcome at this party. Totally agree, if we fail, and I dont think we will as I'm laying us heavily on Betfair to go down, it wont be for lack of backing in the transfer window.Barring an unforeseen dagger to the heart in the next week you can't do anything but doff your cap to the owners, scouts, and management team this summer.
I've been hugely critical at times over the years with short-sighted sales and perceived lack of ambition but this summer is surpassing my expectations.
Most sensible deals with the big money spent on young players who should improve.
I haven't got a crystal ball or a strong opinion on how this season will pan out but at this point its just a big well done to all concerned.
That sounds about as welcome as sitting on one of your own testicles.JOC to Leicester for £25 million
Fleck to West Ham for £10 Million
How does that sound?
Now that would be excellent!Seen that Newcastle and West Brom are ‘keeping tabs’ on Connor Coady. Think he’d be the final peice for me.
In five years time Man U could be begging Wilder to get them out of the championship.Almost need to pinch myself when I look at who has joined the squad over the summer. Hard to believe how much the team and club have progressed since CW took over and that's it only just over 3 years ago that Adkins was leading the walk of shame.
As others have stated, the other pleasing thing is that nobody has left that wasn't made available - again quite the change from worrying about approaches for JOC and Fleck <12 months ago.
Let's hope the club can continue to match CW's ambitions as his success certainly won't have gone unnoticed by the big clubs. In fact as much as it pains me to say, I could see him ending up at Man Utd in the next 5 years, given the relationship he and Utd have forged with their links.
Wont happen with Wilder at the helm.JOC to Leicester for £25 million
Fleck to West Ham for £10 Million

What, that you don't look to be signing your "No.1 Target" for this transfer window?Oh that is satisfying![]()

What, that you don't look to be signing your "No.1 Target" for this transfer window?
Strange cause for satisfaction, I'd have thought.
Still, if we can manage to keep him until the window shuts, which is looking increasingly likely, then that will be our "No.1 Target" achieved.
Which would be satisfying indeed.
