Just have to wait 3 days for the cheesy video to be scripted, shot, edited and sent on a betamax tape to Twitter HQ now.

For McBurnie according to Sky sports sources at £17m !
I would love to know who these Sky Sports Sources are but if true its definitely the icing on the cake for the squad.
I reckon that we have now spent around £40m this transfer window and never in my life did I think I would see a Sheffield United club spend that sort of money
Hopefully, we now have the depth of strikers to keep us up as I was thinking about Rob Hulse being our main striker last time we were in the Prem and once he was injured we were almost certainly going down at that stage

That makes our business every bit as good as villas and we're a better side in the first place ,but somehow they're staying up and we're bottom according to the experts.

I'm surprised at the press underestimating us.

Even without the signings, the side has a group of premier league level players. Egan, O'Connell, Stevens, Fleck and Norwood are all prem quality of varying levels (O'Connell upper midtable, Norwood lower prem level) Then others like McGoldrick and Sharp could possibly step up too.

Where did all this money com from ?
At the beginning, before any signings were made - which seemed a long, long wait for the first one - we were reliably informed that CW had £20 million.
He's not been doing that with the loaves and fishes has he ?

Sporting Life reported it yesterday but for a reason I can’t explain I don’t believe things until Sky report it.

It’s a bit much but it’s broadly in line with what championship strikers moving to the PL are valued at these days.

The good thing about the spending is that we’ve actually got the money to spend. We’re not borrowing it (as in a loan secured against the stadium - it’s probably stage payments but we’ll receive the money to cover them) or relying on an owner who might then get fed up of putting money in, it’s money we’ve earned by getting promoted.

Well we now have the potential firepower to stick the ball in the onion bag,but we have got to strengthen the at the other end,all we have brought in is Jagielka.

We don’t need to defend if we can score one more than the opposition.

I think we are fine at the back, bar a back up keeper. We had the best defence in the Champ last season, adding Jags into that and Osborne to compete at LWB has only made it stronger.

It's midfield where we need another body imo, a tough tackling ball winner who can sniff out danger and who can also pick a pass.

Including McBurnie we will have spent roughly around £45 million on 5 players, plus 2 free and 1 loan.
CW must have had around £50 million budget for players and has got great value for money.

Trevor Hockey comes to mind. What a ball winner he was.

It's all on Knilly's Amex. Shit the bed when the bill arrives.

Yes the value for money aspect really does stand out for me. Compare to what Villa have spent and I would argue that pound for pound we have had a much better window, investing in young homegrown players who will all have future sell on value.
