David Parkhouse is from Strabane NI, I believe he played for Maiden City Football Academy and the Tyrone Milk Cup junior side and Northern Ireland, there was an article in the Strabane Chronicle.

You wouldn't if you saw their ground. Not only do they play in blue and white stripes but the floodlight pylons are just like those that were at Hillsborough. Can't really follow any team that pays in blue and white stripes.

I know what you mean about their ground and kit.

In the mid seventies when I was about seven, we were on holiday in Majorca, two of the Kilmarnock players were staying in the same hotel.

Even though they were only Kilmarnock players it was exciting to meet two professional footballers, at the time when I found out they played in blue and white I can remember feeling a little disappointed.

For a while I used to write to one of the players (George Maxwell) and he would send me programs, which I've still got.

I was over in Dublin on Friday, so went to watch UCD v Derry City. I thought Parkhouse had quite a poor game. His first touch was poor but he did score a good goal near the end.
