Re: their prediction last season of us finishing in the top half. If you cast your minds back, I reckon the average expectation was around mid-table. No one reckoned we'd recruited particularly well, missing out on Waghorn and settling for that trialist Dave McGoldrick while Brentford fans crowed about how happy they were to get us to stump up £4-ish million for John Egan. So while calling for us to finish in the top half wasn't exactly radical, it wasn't the sure thing it may seem today.
