...and get this guy!

Go Get Him!

Birmingham's Gary McSheffrey admits he has no future at the club after playing only a limited role so far this season.

The 27-year-old winger has started only one Premier League game and two Carling Cup ties this season but insists he has had no row with manager Alex McLeish.

"As far as my future at Birmingham is concerned, I'd say that I don't have one," he said.

"Last year, the manager made it clear that he was willing to offload me so I've felt that I'm not wanted here."

McSheffrey, who was an unused substitute in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Manchester United, added: "There have been times when I've felt that I should have been on the pitch in front of certain other players and feel that I should have had more starts than I have done. That shows that I'm not in their plans.

"The manager sat me down and said, 'we're going to listen to offers for you but we haven't got a problem with each other so while you're here I will use you when I need to'.

"So at least I haven't been frozen out, I've been on the bench every week and started a couple of games and everything is fine with me and the manager."

McSheffrey, who joined from Coventry in 2006, had a loan spell with Nottingham Forest last season and admitted: "I'm not sure if I will go this month.

"It depends on who the manager signs and whether anybody is interested in signing me permanently or taking me on loan."

yeah i'd go along with that. He could do a job for us.... then again....

CHDAJFU? WWBAP?

There go you Boo....:D

He's going to the Owls according to a 'strong rumour'.

I'm questioning that too to be honest.

We can't afford him, surely to goodness.

As for Wendy affording him... Dreamsville...

GARY McSHEFFREY is set to end his Birmingham misery with a move to Sheffield United.

Blades boss Kevin Blackwell was linked with the forward earlier this season.

He admitted last night: "Gary is a player I have always liked and I am keen to get more depth in my squad."

Why on earth would we want a winger when we can play a striker out on the wing. I mean with Reid, Treacy, Cotterill and Little not getting a look in because KB insists on playing strikers out wide then why sign a winger with proven quality. We've just signed the very limited and average Creswell, so it makes absolute perfect sense!?

dont even want him rumoured with this club again turned us down few times before... let him rott ut brum

Oh hang on a minute, he's turned us down a few times before. This changes everything! I s he past his best and out of form also? Yes. Well get him snapped up!!?

NO MORE LOANS....PLEEEEEASE!

Stick your hand in your pocket McCabe

If we get him it will be a loan I guarantee it. There is no money to sign a player of his profile. You're looking at something close to £1M to sign him and his wages will probably be in the region of 6-8K a week. Talented player but I have always had reservations about his attitude. He can be quite moody.

As for Wednesday signing him......please! They couldn't afford to hire him as half time entertainment.

Abit like Cresswell then.

They only come here when their career is on its arse.

He was once a class act. Unfortunately, I think those days are gone. I think the long term injury has taken its toll and I don't believe he is the same player of old. Whether he's lost half a yard of pace or not, I don't know.

He may still do a job for us, but I don't expect the player I remember from a few years ago.

Another player linked to us for many years. and abit of a journeyman to boot.
Should fit in well at the Blades then!
