If he isn’t here by the Barnsley game, I reckon we’ve seen the last of him in a United shirt.

If that happens, I hope they charge him storage, for leaving his car at Shirecliffe all summer 🤬

Yes, and that's why I said we should have quelled our interest as soon as he went fishing for a better contract at Man Utd.
Many Second or Third or even Fourth choice players at these clubs move on and build a career, then eventually end up back at one of the big clubs, but Hendo wants it all now.
His massive contract now makes it more difficult for him to even get a loan move

We've wasted 10 weeks of our time chasing this when we should have just gone elsewhere
As much as i’d like him back that massive contract suits his big head. Bin him off & get someone else in. He’ll soon regret not coming back.

I'm the same, I like him and I wish things had been different, but enoughs enough.
We're now in a desperate situation for a goalkeeper, no time to do our usual fucking about in the transfer market trying to get somebody cheaper than the selling club values him, we have to find our man, agree the purchase price, agree salary, AND AGREE THE AGENTS FEE and buy him, no messing about.

Would love to have him back but if we are being dicked around by Man U then it's time to go elsewhere, sadly.
The 50k a week and 2 million loan fee they are asking for is obscene, no other word for it and I would be amazed if we can't get a solid keeper with some PL experience for less.
Someone else probably wouldn't bring the 'Deano' factor, but I can live without the shithousing, as funny as it is, provided we have someone who can stop a shot and command his area.

It's less than ideal but I'm sure Wilder has a plan B so it's not all bad news for us.
Henderson, whether he realises or not, has painted himself into a bit of a corner. Is there another premier league club, so desperate for him they would pay silly money to take him on loan him for a year? Another season in the championship maybe? Can't think of a club rich enough or desperate enough.
He will have to be content marking time as 3rd or 4th choice at Old Trafford.
I was convinced that once De Gea signed his new contract, Henderson would be back at the lane. Someone hasn't thought this through.

Wow !!!
I am sure the staff at the Lane would be extremely grateful that you have brought to their attention, the gravity of the situation, and also the astounding advice on how to handle finding a replacement. They were just like headless chickens till now.

Well why don't they do it then, instead of making a drama out of every bleedin transfer we're involved in

I would paint myself into a corner for 50k a week

I think Moore is decent tbh. But not top drawer. I wouldn’t be concerned about him starting the season for us, but if we can get an upgrade that would be great!

Problem is if he starts then that’s it until January.. transfer window closes before season start. Moore is a championship back up at best, he’s certainly no premier league No1

Manchester Evening News are reporting that we've given Man Utd a deadline otherwise we'll look elsewhere
The Man Utd fans find it hilarious that we are dictating what they should do with their own player
The man u fans in our office(and theres a season ticket holder amongst them) have never even heard of him.

Let's look at his options:
Man City - Ederson
Liverpool - Becker
Spurs - Lloris
Chelsea - Arrizabalaga
Arsenal - Leno
Man U - de Gea
Wolves - Patricio
Leicester - Schmeichel
Everton - Pickford
Watford - Foster/Gomes
West Ham - Fabianski
Southampton - Gunn
Newcastle - Dubravka/Darlow
Bournemouth - Travers/Boruc
Crystal Palace - Guaita/Hennessey
Brighton - Ryan
Burnley - Pope/Heaton/Hart
Norwich - Krul + just loaned a German back up
Villa - Steer/Kalanic + linked to Person

So I'm seeing a whole lot of nothing if Hendo doesn't settle with us.

Otherwise it is down to the Championship.

Why are people getting in such a tizz over it? Wilder has already said that hes fed up, will have been considering and exploring other options, im pretty sure that at the end of last season Wilder and Bettis wouldnt have thought, right, were getting hendo back next year, dont even need to think about or consider the GK position, lets crack on with everything else and just forget all about it.

If he comes back superb news for all involved, if he doesnt, we will have an alternative or 2 lined up. Some of the posts in here giving shit to hendo and the club are embarrassing.

Villa - that should say linked to Perin from Juve.

Yes they did with their complaints
Like I said, I took genuine vile abuse that went under the radar because I didn't complain, it was only when I gave a bit back that I got banned

Maybe you were banned for being an all round Pillock?
Reading some of your recent posts, which are simply unfounded attacks at the club you’re supposed to support suggest that’s the case

I don't want Hendo to come back now, he can fuck off as far as I'm concerned and the arse licking he get's on Twitter off some fans (mainly lasses and lasses with kids who "look up to him" are equally pathetic.

Hope Wilder gives him and Man Utd the middle finger.

I'd rather have him than Joe Hart and has beens like that.

Wilder has repeatedly said its the non-footballing people holding the deal up so why you and others have this negativity towards Henderson himself is baffling.

I don't think he will regret it sadly, we'll just be a footnote to him, despite all the badge kissing malarky.

Also I'm loath to criticise, but imho Simon Moore is really not the answer. Hart may be overhyped but it simply isn't true that Moore would be a better option than him

Exactly. Wilder will already have several lines of enquiry in the background. People say they don't want Hart but Wilder may think that it is a really good idea to have a keeper with a lot of PL experience holding the defence together. Wilder also obviously thinks Moore is perfectly capable of being a back-up in the PL.
It will be very disappointing if Hendo doesn't come, it will be a failure of the system and the money men rather than an individual, but we won't be starting the season without a keeper.

Hendo wants games. He wants to play for us at least another season especially after helping us get up.

The people behind the deal, the finance guys, are now the problem. Man U agree it will be good for his development as we do but loans from Prem to Prem operate slightly differently to Champ. I think both finance teams are playing hardball at the mo. No one wants to see Henderson stagnate as third choice MUFC keeper and Hendo himself doesn't want to be second choice at another Prem club or be first choice at another champ club.

We are his and MUFC's ideal scenario but money is needed now we're in Prem and Hendo's value increases season upon season in today's market because of his age, England call ups and nationality.

Wilder won't throw away money but equally, it's too early to back down from negotiation so at the mo it's stalemate.

And this has been going on since the close of the season. Joe Hart is a very real opportunity (in some eyes) and conversations have taken place to get him here. If that's part of the negotiation for Hendo who knows but we'll see if it works or not for Wilder.

I haven't got enough bad things to say about Man Utd but surely they're not stupid enough to prevent this deal happening over a petty £1-2m when they'll gain far more in his value after a season in the PL. And we're by far the best and most likely place for him to increase his value. It has to happen. Will be idiotic if it doesn't.

They need to recoup some of De Gea/Rashford/Sanchez/Pogbas wages.
