An Observation from Tonight

He looked good, turn of pace, some great touches, good link up play, unlucky not to add another goal.

However, it is hard to judge against a non-league team.
 
That bit of close control to break through the defenders for that double chance..... that's what we've been missing. No one in last season's squad could do that.
 
My observations:
Robinson as above... very exciting
Jagielka still looks class both on the ball and in his reading of the game (albeit against pretty weak opposition) and I'm not sure why anyone was worrying about his lack of pace he looks quick.
Lundstram looks so much fitter and stronger but need to see more against better opposition.
 
Saw him at Burton and tonight at Chesterfield. Both times he's looked class. Always made himself available, always seemed to find space, worked his socks off, made decent runs, played decent passes when he had the opportunity.

The usual caveat: lower league opposition, etc... but we could (just could) have a really classy player on our hands! I'm starting to see why Preston were gutted to see him leave. Fingers crossed he can do it in the Prem.

Agree about Jagielka too. Looked assured and different class today (again, same caveat as above... it was Chesterfield, not Chelsea).

I think between Stevens, JOC, Bryan and Osbourn thats enough cover for LWB and LCB
 
If he learns how to finish this season he could be knocking on 20 goals and a seriously big move, could've had a hatful over the past 2 games. Really impressed.

Strange that he didn’t get a look in, last season in the Championship based on that analysis - not doubting you by the way.

He was great to be fair yesterday but he was playing against a conference side in a friendly. That being said he was playing against a conference side in January and he's improved since then!
