Life’s a movie, not a series of still pictures. Same goes for football.
Well.....I agree with that,...how did that happen?.......

Why does having a tall player equate to hoofing it up to the big man?
Having aerial strength is an advantage in attack and defence.
You need a mix of height and pace and tough tackling and creativity and clinical finishing and resolute defending in any good team.
Hoof it was just a turn of phrase, maybe I shouldn't have used it. Wanting a big CF suggested to me that a high delivery would be the tactic employed, or else why do we want a big lad up front?
I was just saying that I don't think that is the way we will go. We don't play that style of football under CW.
I will add... Sala, Sane, Aguero, Sterling, Messi and even the great man himself Sharp are all 5'8
I only said it wasn't a necessity for us going forward and progressing this season.
Can’t remember but looking at blade789’s posting history he does have a decent record at predicting ITK stuff which have ended up being correct.
He says the Maupay signing is being announced Monday or Tuesday next week, so we’ll see.
A fair amount of our goal threat this year will have to come from set pieces, having more of an aerial presence in the box will be important, as will having a natural poacher as well. Just to nitpick, Sane is 6'0.

I thought Life was a rollercoaster.

I’m sure I once read something that one of our seasons in league one 0.3% of our goals came from cornersI hope not! How many goals actually come from set pieces? Corners? Long throws? 1 in 20? Less? If we get a set piece we will send JoC, Egan, Bash up etc.
This isn't 90's Sheff U in the Premiership boys. This is the 2019/20 revolution. UTB

Eighteen89?
Yes I know what you mean mate, and I agree. Sometimes when you do have a big man up front, it's the players who are tempted to go route 1 with it, not necessarily an instruction from the manager to change tactics.
I don't think Wilder will change tactics just because we sign a big bloke, in fact I'm sure he won't. But there'll be some games when we'll need to mix it up a bit.
There is a disturbing trend though, which I blame Barcelona for personally. They've been successful without any big players. This is because all Spanish men are about 5'4" with 26 inch waists of course. Well, we don't want any of that here mate, that's what I'm saying. It's alright for these Mediterranean types to go mincing about the football pitch in little swarms, but we want proper men at this club.![]()
Just been on the bookies transfer section. Now this doesn't necessarily mean anything as we've been as short as 1-6 on to sign Maupay, but Villa are now favs at 11/10 and we've drifted to 13/10
If you listen to Mark Hollis, life's what you make it.And I always thought life was like a box of chocolates.
Something to revel in.

It'd be the other way round: 0.3% of corners leading to a goal. Otherwise you'd need to score 300 goals for 1 to equate to 0.3%I’m sure I once read something that one of our seasons in league one 0.3% of our goals came from corners

Hello to Jason Isaacs (and Charlie Kaufman).A movie is a series of still pictures played at a speed that provides the illusion of movement.

That's probably because we've signed Robinson. And someone's chucked £4 on Villa.
Tinkety tonk old fruit, and down with the Nazis.Hello to Jason Isaacs (and Charlie Kaufman).

Corners are not important? I think JOC may disagree.
