Past 100 and now we're gathering pace!!
Watch out Ricky, the threads coming!!

May understanding from a “source” is that terms have been agreed with Maupay’s agent, the hold up is down to Brentford changing the terms off what they want up front, a transfer fee was reached with a figure up front, at the last minute Brentford wanted a larger down payment. That is still being negotiated. Trust the source implicitly

i have also heard this from multiple people, they want the final instalment upfront so the deal is all paid a season earlier than originally agreed, dont shoot the messenger

If May is involved no wonder it’s taking so long, probably trying to push the original deal through with Brentford

Has a Villa bid been confirmed?

Don't know, but if it's him or Sturridge there has to be a big chance they jump straight in with £20m+ and blow us out of the water on wages. They don't give a fuck do they.

But to be honest, I wouldn't be too fussed. There are other ways to spend that money effectively.

Ah right.

I need a rest from this forum, really do.

Morning all.

Not a regular poster on here but a keen follower of this forum which i really enjoy.

Have followed the Blades for 59 years now since I used to get on a coach to BDBL from the Roland Arms at Aston. Have no knowledge whatsoever on the Maupay saga, or any idea of his true worth. What I do know is that I always promised myself that if we ever spent more than £10m on a player, then I would celebrate by opening my 1983 Pauillac wine and celebrating an incredible milestone in my United life.

I can feel that corkscrew twitching as I type....!

Like you I’m a long time reader without actually posting anything turns out it’s a shared love of music as well as all things blades that prompted me to start typing (username should give you a clue!!) I hope you are tasting that wine before too long!

Where from? Strikers cost money. Alot of money. And we need 2 strikers that can compete in the premier league. So who?

I want to try, I want to be me
I want to get high, I want to see

Roofe and Robinson? There would be question marks over them .wouldnt say they were out and out strikers. We will need goals .

Financially, I understand why we would want to string out the payment - but does it really matter if it’s paid now or a season down the line if the £ amounts are the same. It doesn’t change what we’re paying or what they receive

We can take out bank loans supported by the future tv revenue we will earn. Seems just a hard ball tactic by Brentford if this is the case but maybe there could be a breakthrough
