I asked Danny Hall that very question but he denied an agreement is in place between the Star and the club so I'll take that at face value. Still think the Star are generally lacking in exclusives regarding United.

You’d suspect that while there isn’t an agreement as such, they aren’t stupid and know that aggressively finding and breaking confidential news will put strain on their relationship with the club which would be more trouble than its worth and so they just don’t bother.

I'd rather McBurnie be the 'nearly done' and Maupay the possible.

I struggle to believe we can get Maupay for £11-12m up front. If we could then I'm sure we'd have multiple clubs matching the bid and offering better wages.

If we're serious about getting both Maupay and McBurnie then I can see what we're doing with Morrison as he'll be a cheaper alternative to Robinson and others like Rothwell.

Osborn would be fine as a cover player but I hope we wouldn't be spending much on him.
