Player Suggestion Luca Connell

I disagree, we could really future proof our squad with a few younger additions, provide some upcomers to replace some of the older players who are key...

i think it’s the one thing we are missing, youth prospects. Also you get one or two players who really do well and it’s silly season for transfer fees, take brooks for example - we probably wouldnt have been promoted if it wasnt for that sale

Are you saying that you'd happily go into the side with holes in our team if it meant we had bought a host of "future prospects" instead?

I know nothing about him, but I'm gonna post like I do.

Would be a solid acquisition, decent potential, could have a real resale value. Young lad with a great attitude, could be mentored by Duffy to play the Duffy role, sold on for a sizeable profit or moved on if he doesn't cut it, having not paid much for him. Good age, athletic, good feet and range of passing. Can cover a number of positions. Would be a sensible investment.

See, easy innit? Never seen him play.

I'm sure i've seen a post somewhere, where someone claims "he's like Modric" - because he has a somewhat similar haircut. 🤦‍♂️

Heard from a Bolton supporter about him. Pleaded with us not to take him. Quality apparently.

That’s all I have to go on. Never seen him play. Young, left footed midfielder fits in nicely for us though and Fleck needs direct competition.

Is he definitely left footed?

I see he's down as left footed but I saw him using both feet at Bramall Lane.

Really put himself about and showed great composure and quality too. Was staggered to see how old he was.

We're more likely to go for him if he is left footed. So I hope he is.

You missed out good ball carrying skills, and should have added more probablys and maybe's to cover your back, don't forget to get arsey with anyone who dares question your judgement.

I'd much prefer it if he never posted anything of interest and instead became a passive aggressive, sniping, sycophantic bozo focused solely on trying to crush unpositivity in a manner befitting of a truly sad, boring old man with nothing else to offer.

The forum is definitely much better off with those types around.

I'd have him, was a bright point for Bolton this season, along with their keeper who was Etheridge like in his being good but still on the recieving end most weeks.

Feel like he'd have more chance with us in cup games/ being around the first team etc than one of the more established teams where he'd be in the under 23s and out on loan.

Gerrimin.

Missed a trick with that one. Loads of potential qne wouldnt have cost a lot. Mayne though hes after 1st team football and we cant offer him that at this point in time and probably Celtic can. We will need every swinging dick in the field tonbe on their game for us next season to compete whereas Celtic could play with 9 men each game and still win the majority of their games in the Scottish league.

Celtic have the potential for being a top team in future if turnbull and connell develop well

Except Turnbull hasn't gone there and will remain at Motherwell as he requires knee surgery.

It may be a good move and a pathway for an eventual move to the Prem for Connell if he gets game time. He may well turn into a very good player but a move to Utd now wouldn't have been right for either the club or player. He isn't good enough yet to push for starts and playing back in U23s andor sitting on Utd's bench would aid his development.

Celtic is a decent shout. Plenty of playing opportunities in games where you can make mistakes as the opposition is woeful. If he proves himself, a mid-table PL team will pick him up.
