Apparently we are interested in Andy Rinomhota. Reading 22 year old midfielder so at the right age. He is contracted until 2022 so might cost a bit and only made his league debut this season.

Can we remember to give an indication of the SOURCE before we get to excited, #WYHDP?

He won their player of the season.

Versatile right footed defensive midfielder by the looks of it. Can probably cover RWB.

And he's from Leeds.

Yep, can certainly believe he's a target.

Player of the season you say? Can definitely imagine Wilder interested then, he has a habit of going for players that have won player of the season.

I could imagine this being the market we are in.

Young players who could step up for the EPL and develop further.

Geeze. Given how cheap some of those estimates are we could nab a few of their young 'uns

Some of the values on young players who've done nothing on loan in L1 and L2 are ridiculous.

The values on first team players mostly seem fair.

Interesting ones to me are Yiadom, Meite, Loader and Bodvarsson.

Yiadom can play wing back on both sides and has apparently had a superb season.
Meite is a real powerhouse, raw but good potential.
Loader is highly rated and apparently could be available for £3m.
Bodvarsson is a tall, mobile, hardworking forward who could be a bargain for someone as there's more to come from him.

More really hit form second half of last season it like most of readings team looked terrible against us

I will always keep coming back to the case of 'ol David Brooks this season. Did I think that boy was ready for the Premier League...no way. Thought he'd have a stormer for us in the Champ and possibly leave the next season. But he has killed it with next to no real, prolonged Championship experience.

I think the talented youngsters are hungry, raw and can be moulded by a good coach. I'll have no qualms with zero marquee signings if we buy a lot of technical, physical players. Whether that's any of the Reading lot, alas my knowledge isn't there.

The Tweet might be bullshit, but he's one we will have watched and will probably be interested in because he fits the criteria perfectly.

What evidence is there that this is our transfer strategy ...it hasn't been ...and won't be our strategy ..in anyway shape or form ..

Why do people think ..oh right we are in the Premiership ...let's buy a load of young talent ..bound to keep us up ..even though we don't particularly encourage youth in the first team

It’s been stated that we are looking to bring the average age down with younger players from the championship.

Ranmoor, that's right but his premise is also correct, I think the young players we will buy will mostly be ready for the first 11 or the bench not 'projects'. This could be a once in a 'generation' chance ro establish ourselves in the premiership so we need players to strengthen the match day squad and thats where our money should be spent.

Players like McBurnie and Maupay fill both requirements and I hope thats where the focus is. This Reading lad might be the dogs but hes not gonna replace any of our midfielders any time soon whereas those 2 forwards will make an immediate impact.

We should be going for these players regardless, the midfield we he have can get injured and we know how some step up, nothing wrong with signing potential and at 22 as their player of the year it wouldn’t worry me..

As for the price tag (if that’s the concern) sorry lads but that’s the situation we’re in now so get used to it..

4mill is the new 1mill.. if you get me.

Player of the season with only 20 odd games and interest from Arsenal, I think he might be good enough.

That’s true Frieth but we also need people to fill in as and when the main players are missing for whatever reason with as little drop in quality as possible. The difference this season to the one before was the strength of the bench and those not even in the match day squad. It will be hard to match that in the PL but quality youngsters who have already played decent amounts of games at a good level may be the way to go to cover those gaps within the budget we have.
