Remember the promotion under Harry ?

What about the similarities between that season and this one, admittedly the style of football we’ve played this season is a world away from the Bassett style, but both yielded the same result against all odds, so on merit stand together as fine achievements.

So we had played in luminous yellow that season - and this one.

We were managed by a bloke who was one of the lads but very tough when required, sound familiar.

Bassett like wilder had cut his teeth in the lower leagues and understood football at grass roots and was well grounded in how clubs functioned top to bottom.

Both managers shared management duties, Taylor / Knill.

Dodgy takeover threatened to derail the campaign.

A hostile takeover, and Sam/antha turned out to be skint.. hmm, seems uncanny doesn’t it.

if things carry on like this there will be interesting times ahead.. so.

Which director is gonna grab the till and make a dash for South America ?

Will the prince become a princess and reveal all in a racy photo shoot.

Will Christmas pudding be the recipe to save the season, or will it be peroni ?

Will we sign a big Norwegian with a name nobody knows how to pronounce on MOTD ?

The season awaits, And the Blades, are back in the big time again.. Seemingly with many co incidences from 89/90..

Have I missed anything ?

Well the club do like to press self destruct button when things are going well.

This time round we have Wilder here and so far it seems he has been cracking a few heads together in the boardroom to make sure he gets what he needs.

Or he'll be off.

Frankly, listening to the unsurprising dogshit coming from both parties on this, I wouldn't blame him.
