If West Brom go up

I appreciate this is only players you would take, but Grealish is way, way out of our price range.

For some unknown reason.

Crap hair and his socks not pulled up is an extra £10m on his price.

Hinchcliffe today, he rolled the ball to Hourihane who finished with a great shot and he was on about the pass as much as the finish.

Hourihane was given so much space my Granddad could have made that pass and he's been dead 11 years.

WBA got it right, then got it very, very wrong. Keeping it tight then counter attacking was a smart way to play, but Gayle screwed then with his time wasting and antics. Now he's missing the 2nd leg and their biggest attacking threat is gone. Stupid from him.

Villa were ok but I was surprised how little creativity they had in the final 3rd, especially with the players they have at their disposal. So many times it came to the edge of the box, the player would dither and then lose it. Still backing them to get to Wembley though.

Don't like Gayle but that second yellow was harsh for me. He's got to go for the ball surely? And he didn't make that much contact with the goalkeeper.

Thought the referee was appalling today.

Yes perhaps, but you're always in risk of a dodgy yellow from the ref. The solution is not to give him the chance to send you off by stupidly picking up other cards for time wasting and various shit-housing tactics.

Didn't watch the game, but the BBC stats seem to show it was all Villa (possession, shots, shots on target, etc.) despite trailing at half time.

Villa were poor first half, going nowhere really and some poor passes, and made the error for West Brom's goal, West Brom were comfortable letting them have the ball in safe areas. West Brom also had a good shot saved from Rodriguez that would have made it a good value 2-0 at half time.

Second half Hourihane came on and they went at it more, still some sloppy passing and I wouldn't say there was much quality on display from either team.

Soft penalty for Villa, penalty not given for West Brom, and poor defending giving Hourihane a 12 yard exclusion zone for him to get a shot off has settled it.

I know mate, my point was more that I didn’t see any others (that may be open to coming and in our price range) that would improve our team.

If you take the clubs out of the equation and asked yourself which manager you would like to see up there with our Chrissie. I really think Dean Smith would be preferable to the intolerable media lauding of Bielsa and the “brown nosing” of Frankie boy. I also think WBA will replace their coach whether he gets em up or not.

I'd be appealing the Gayle sending off.

Which is why I'd prefer West Brom to go up ( sorry come up ;) ) Dean Smith comes across as a decent guy and a good manager. Villa are a big club and if they make it will very probably stay up.
Always liked Lampard as a player but he's inexperienced as a manager and will struggle in the Premier in my opinion. Leeds are a big club no matter what we think of them and Bielsa is a smart guy, he'll have learned a lot in his first year in England.

Basically I'm thinking of it from a purely selfish Blades perspective, I want the one that has most chance of ending up in one of the relegation spots next season. I wanted Bristol City to be the one.

No he's not. He's a cheating twat and Wilder does not entertain cheating twats.

That why he signed Madine who was a player every blade hated
Wilder will sign the best footballers for the job

I bet you wouldn’t take grealish either

He is but he's not Wilder's type. The whole ethos Chris has built is the opposite of Grealish and Gayle. It won't change whilst he's here.

They are players that go down easily but so did didsy against forest.
Just cause they have dived doesn’t mean they wouldn’t play for us I don’t get your point about ethos.

We need pace and a striker who knows the game well enough to use it. A player who knows how to play sole striker and keep the defenders occupied, ake runs into the channels for 'relief' balls when we are under the cosh.

We need a striker who can be counted on to score 15 goals in the Prem.

Having said that we need a striker who is that good and yet will cost £8m tops and will regard SUFC as a great opportunity to prove how good he is at that level.

Gayle has not played for a squad as good as ours for years.

Much will depend on what sort of bloke Wilder perceives him to be. He looks like he cares and fights for the cause but does he 'fit in'? Is he a 'team man' or would he disrupt the 'team ethic'?

Just because he 'gets under the skin' of the opposition defenders and winds them up, doesn't mean he's a 'shithouse', it's what you have to do. However he did show dissent against his colleagues on a number of occasions, that is not the 'Wilder way'. He did make some great runs that were not spotted though.

Great player but he’s also a diving CHEAT. Not a trait that goes down well with Chris
