This may have been to do with Graham Souness having a bit of a go on Sky. Having heard proper virtue signallers have a go at Souness, Alex Scott actually defended Souness and said that he is like that with everyone not just a female football pundit.

Some people want to cause a fuss just because they want to stir up shit and find something when there's actually fuck all to find in the first place.
