Dean Henderson - Anybody else think that...

Can you imagine having a massive rabbit up your sleeve? And if that’s where you’re keeping it, just what exactly is in your hat?

But how the rest of us feel about it is an unknown unknown because I'm sure there has never been a thread to establish what is known about the unknown so hold thi horses.

You know what, that's an excellent point, now that I know that I'll know to think about it before posting what I know, in order to know that it is knowledgeable, know what I mean?

As that great philosopher Donald Rumsfeld said " There are known knowns, there are things we know we know, we also know there are known unknowns, there are also unknown unknowns " .

The Henderson situation is one of the above, although I don't know which one. Anyway, I hope that has cleared things up for everyone.
Anything you do know?
Errrrrr...I mean you don't know?

A loan makes sense for all parties, we don't know how he will perform in the top flight (we can all imagine he will be very good), Man Utd will want to see if he is better as a long term option for De Gea, Deano gets to still hold onto his dream of being Man Utd's number 1 and we don't have to break our transfer record on a keeper we can spend that cash elsewhere.

Or you could look at it this way Man Utd sell Henderson and insert a reasonable buy back, this way they cash in on potential which also counts against FFP. The buy back means the deal is potentially a long term loan so if he does develop into worlds No1 then Man Utd can sign him back.

In addition we don’t use 1 of 2 loan spots on a £10m GK and instead use that space on a £15/£20m forward.

Very good point, can't argue with that! Tammy on loan it is then.

Sadly I think your theory plays out. I just hope it doesn’t, not just the loan allowance but the fact we do need stability in that position

I’m afraid I think Man U might decide to delay a decision on Hendo while the manager has a look at him among his own players.
They need to know a valuable asset like De Gea is going to show up again, or whether they need to sell him.

That depends on who the manager and coaches are at Man. U. next season. Liverpool have stepped up several gears and Man. U. can't afford to slide any further which - as Solskjær's recent form suggests - they will.

I've no chuffing idea mate. I think I'll sign up for twitter and ask Donald to clarify, that's Rumsfeld, the other Donald definitely knows nowt.
