I don't think Man United will want to lose possibly the top young English goalkeeper permanently, regardless of whether or not they sell De Gea.

He's very highly thought of in the Man United ranks & it makes sense for them to loan him back to us for the season to see how he fairs in the big boys division.

I’m afraid I think Man U might decide to delay a decision on Hendo while the manager has a look at him among his own players.
They need to know a valuable asset like De Gea is going to show up again, or whether they need to sell him.
On top of that, they have a huge issue with ego’s at the club, and adding players like Hendo who has proven to be very unassuming and humble is what’s needed there at the moment.

So, with that in mind it will depend if Wilder is prepared to wait it out, or get another keeper in sooner to settle the squad.

Hendo has a huge part to play in this, if he really wants to be with us he has the power to force a little bit of will and make certain demands.
Guaranteed first choice at Man U...or he will leave. A year not playing at this stage of his career would be a disaster.

Deano's Man Utd contract runs until the end of next season, they aren't going to loan him out for the final year of his contract!

Whilst he is approaching that final year we have more chance of signing him than loaning him.
If he signs a new contract with Man U then we have more chance of loaning him that signing him.

Either way we are going to have to wait whilst Man Utd's coaches etc look at him and make a decision over his future. The only guarantee is that at the moment nothing is guaranteed!

Are you talking about our Dean Henderson or someone else? He's never seemed backwards in coming forwards, and that's a trait I like in a goalkeeper.

I love the guy to bits, but 'unassuming and humble' are not obvious words to use about him. Perhaps appropriate for Blackman. If they hadn't dragged Deano off the stage the other night, I reckon he'd still be there leading the singing..

Not sure what you’ve missed but Wilder said last week that he’d been to the Man U game with Knill and spoken with the powers at Old Trafford about bringing him back.

When quizzed by radio sheff he said probably on loan but if he is surplus then we’ll be in for him

Hendo has also said that he wants to come back but also he wants to play for Man U and be England’s number one.

His loan finished and presumably the numbers for Man U won’t be fixed until later in preseason when they too have worked on their retained lists.

I think more than anything else this is all quite clear and transparent. But it will depend on Man U. We want him, he wants to come back but if he finds that he’ll be getting more chances at Man U then he’ll stay there

I think Henderson will come back to us on loan and man ure will keep tabs on how he does this season in the big boys league!. Man ure have got a massive rebuilding job to do on their squad trying to get rid of players like Sanchez currently sponging 300k a week to sit on his arse. Can’t see Henderson wanting to be in the middle of all that?. IMO.
