Following the statement by Stephen Bettis about the work at BDTBL during the next 12 weeks, just interested as to where the new media centre might be located. Replacing floodlights is straight forward as is hard wiring the ground for SKY and even bottom up beer and contactless payments.

For the ones who are familiar with the inner sanctum of SS - any ideas where this new media centre will be?

Originally, I thought the new superstore on the corner of Cherry Street and Shoreham Street would release space for the media centre in the stand where the existing store is, but not sure now.

Perhaps the museum may get temporarily closed and re-used?

Come on - ideas...........

In the empty corner. Think it'll cover the ramp to get in the South, sort of a stilted house type thing and include the studios with huge windows for Sky and BT. Access from the Kop carpark and Boundary Corner development bit for broadcasters.

May need to rethink the South Stand...…

Or maybe.....

Until the new corner development is built between the Kop and south stand I can see the tenants of the blades business centre being re located

What is exactly meant by a media centre? Somewhere that the presenters sit when summarising games, or just somewhere that journalists hang out at half-time?

If the former, the corner between the South Stand and Kop seems the best bet. There's a random elevated row of seats at the top of the South Stand (on H) that are never sold and always have a steward stood there - are these for journalists?

It's managed by Regus and tenants are generally expected to sign two year leases. Highly unlikely. Plus the FC doesn't own it.

It’s going where the current one is but the walls to the adjacent community classrooms are being knocked through to triple its size. Work started weeks ago.

cocky b@stards - thinking we were going up weeks ago ;)

it would be hilarious if the new shirt sponsors had "massive" in it's name.

Pukka pie corner, might aswell get some use out of it!

Oi!, it’s ok in the Pukka Pie Stand. Admittedly it does have a shed load of restricted view seats but ours are fine. :)

How many off the attendance there? Not really what you want to be doing after you've had season ticket renewals.

No idea what they did about season ticket holders but yes, it did reduce the attendace capacity.

See, I'm interested and I'm an engineer but wrong field and I don't actually know anything about stadium engineering, or Bramall Lane's construction.

If money, factors of safety, and time weren't considerations, I'd raise the roof of the South Stand further up the stanchions, and build similar to West Brom but towards the carpark, sort of how the boardroom sticks out further on the South, have the whole top section where it says 'T h e B l a d e s' currently as the medias area, studios with big windows etc.

If Ian Barke is there will he be counted in the attendance?
