Personally think Ollie McBurnie would be better.
Better player, younger whilst still being a handful.
Being a striker that scores goals also helps.Personally think Ollie McBurnie would be better.

Your view sounds far more agenda based than reality.I think there are a lot better...who stay on their feet when they land as well...
Quite difficult to prove that one. It's called "Plan B" and without it we would not have been promoted - simples!
How many times have we lost full stop ?How many times have we lost when Madine has played?

I have a sneaky feeling there might be an option to buy in the loan deal we did, I think that bit was kept quiet to gauge the fans reaction. We shall see very shortly

He cost them £6m from Bolton in the JTW and apparently £35K per week. Cardiff are not going to give him away, which is sort of what we would want.
Surely at those figures, even with our SKY money next season, they are bonkers figures for a plan B player.
See he made the Liverpool bench last night - I know that they were short of striking cover but really?!!We probably didn't lose many with Woodburn in the team![]()
So its not the way we play when hes in the team it's just him ?WE need two new strikers perhaps one of them will be the outlet.
At Premier League level those are not bonkers figures for a plan B player.

A lot of this is up to Cardiff isn't it?
It's not as if Madine is on a free and Chris has to simply say yes or now.
Cardiff paid 6m because they had the PL money. Now we have some. They are not likely to want to give him away. They'll half fancy him to do a job to get them back up too.
As such they'll probably want a full refund and to me, that would be too much.
3m yes. 6m no. Not sure where in between one crosses to the other! Wages another factor of course.
I think for year 1 Prem players they are - I personally don't mind paying that sort of cash but i'd like to think £35K would get us plan A striker next season and then think again of moving the club forwards with higher wages as we get established.

You don't know that. Without it, it could have been better, it could have been worse. All we know for certain is that it turned out well for us the way it was done. It's called "Plan B" and without it we would not have been promoted - simples!
He did seem downbeat didn’t he. Then again the decision for him to stay won’t be ours. It’ll be Cardiff’s. I’d keep him, think a player of his style will do well in the prem when we need that physicality.
Wilder said last week that he’d be having the chats after the civic reception.
Doesn't matter how we play, I expect we can do better than Madine now we have a few quid. Madine, Washington and Hogan were what we could afford last season, we're in a different league now, with a 'decent budget' to try and establish us there. So its not the way we play when hes in the team it's just him ?
