I didn't realise that it's been nearly 9 years since Morgan last played for us. Went off injured against Coventry in October 2010 (we lost 0-1).

Chris Morgan is one of those that you wish could have been like Wilder has been, sadly he didn't have that managerial skill-set in him.

Just watched the videos now and a decent watch. Pleased Morgs is still involved in football and wish him all the best. Seems a long time since he lifted that plate against Palace! I don't know if I'm alone in this but the promotion in 2006/07 seems to have been somewhat forgotten when compared to now, with comparisons made more so with the 1989/90 team, presumably because of the Wilder connection to 1990, but the 2006/07 team gave us some great memories and Morgs in particular.

Is Chris Morgan a blades legend for those who've been watching for more than 20 years?

He is for me, and probabaly the only one I've witnessed in my lifetime. (So far )

Really good point, I went to lots of games both seasons but I agree, the Bassett promotion felt much more special and it's difficult to say why. Is it retrospect, the fact that we survived four seasons under DB but just one under NW? Or maybe it was the sheer unexpectedness of 1989/90 and the team spirit from that particular group. It also went to the wire on the last day, whenever I think of promotion it's 'Blades Glory, Owls Down' whereas under NW it was actually very straightforward in the end. If I had to be honest though, I just found the football under Bassett more exciting and the likes of Deano, Tony, Bryson, Booker, Tracey, etc. will live with me as legends forever.
