Wednesday Accept Wood Offer

Sorry if this is mentioned anywhere else, couldn't see it, but Wednesday have accepted an offer for Wood of about £500,000, thought to be from Coventry. Surely at that price it'd be worth us having a bid for him? Granted Strafford isn't likely to let him come here, but with him being out of contract at the end of the season he might not have much choice.

Wasn't it Coventry who alledgedly 'tapped him up' for a move a season or two ago when it all came out in the press ?

I've always liked him and would be a decent buy at that price but as you say, a move to Coventry is all the more likely for more than one reason.

Is Wood really the direction we wish to go?

For me he should be back up to the first team if he were to join us. He is not the answer to take us where we wish to be.
