There's a few things I'm really looking forward to and a some that I'm not really looking forward to at all, if we are promoted of course. And some things that have both positive and negative aspects.

Pros
- Being on Match of the Day.
- Stadium Improvements to meet EPL standards.
- World class players at BDTBL.
- Bragging rights over the pigs and every other Yorkshire team.
- Visits to some of the best stadiums in the world.
- Bramall Lane being literally full every fortnight.
- Seeing players who've really earned this and wouldn't have got the chance anywhere else play in the EPL, including the ones we bring in in summer.
- More punditry and analysis of games.
- Sheffield will be buzzing on match day with the away supporters and increased home support.

Cons
- Everything will take longer on match day, from getting there to queue's at the pub and bar at half time.
- Currently sit in a quiet corner of the Kop where I don't often have to put up with moaners, that could well change..
- We will lose the majority of our games and concede more than we score, something that hasn't been the case for the best part of 8 years, maybe even since last time we were in the prem, minus one or 2 seasons.
- We will undoubtedly be patronised by pundits every week.
- The regular 3pm KO's will become few and far between, meaning the excuse I currently have to out with my mates for most of Saturday will be affected.
- Not as many games, 6 less games in total, 3 less at home.

Of course most of these things could well be the same if we end up coming straight back down.

Noooooooo......I protest, it has to be the Kop with that fucking disaster of a corner included in the demolition. Whoever signed off that corner should throw away their white stick, it's not just poor, it doesn't offer good line of sight, so please Mr whoever's responsible for this, give us a Kop and corner that stands the test of time and looks worthy of a Premiership team.

My theory has always been - build the back of the South Stand up - get the extra seats and then completely rebuild the kop with the earth bank and get proper facilities for long suffering fans and proper seats. McCabe can have part of the new kop rear for paid for offices and put a new corner between new kop and SS lower. The thought of offices (for extra club revenue) is just bonkers (when you have Prem income) and would look more stupid than the offices where the score board is. When time and money allows, rebuild Bramall Lane and get rid of the other office block and make it a "proper" football ground.

For those that can`t get to any or many away games like me I am hoping that the Premier League may have sold the rights to show those games to foreign broadcasters.

The rest makes sense, and with a properly trained, high quality architect guiding the project, it could end up as a genuinely classic stadium comparable to any stadium anywhere in the world.........and as you say, for fuck's sake build great facilities for the supporters, with decent seating for those of us with leg length beyond someone older than an infant. Surely there's someone with the right competency to take in all these needs and provide us with a ground fit for purpose?

To solve the problem is not rocket science. The problem all the time is piece meal ideas and development without an overall plan in mind.

There are so many grounds with 4 differing stands that actually fit together because a master plan has always been in place.

As you said before - the kop corner is an absolute disgrace - kids could have designed it better with lego. It's partly bad because of how the John Street ends were designed and constructed which led to difficulties joining the kop corner on to it.

All it would take is cash - premier league cash and in a controlled and planned manner.

As in another thread, i've read football grounds of britain books by Simon Inglis and it really isn't rocket science to know what to do.

It isn't too late to do our ground properly but one thing is absolutely crystal clear - the kop should not be extended at the back. It needs to be rebuilt with the same rake as SS. With sensible designed corners, the capacity would be similar to what it is now.

You will be able to see every Sheffield United match even though there will be no I-Follow. All premier League games are broadcast , not all games are shown in the U.K but if they aren`t broadcast here then a lots of foreign broadcaster that do show them.

ESPN have covered a lot of Championship games this season too. Good job really as I have been over to the States quite a few times this year for work stuff and haven`t missed a game yet. In fact this very Saturday I will be in Seattle and the game is being shown there on ESPN+.

It would but there are multiple examples where if the space exists it can be used. Mccabe may want to use some of it for offices to generate cash.

My main reason is the experiences of SS before games. people are drinking and talking - fine.....but - there's fuck all room when it's full (and it is most games now) to move around freely - even to just get to your seats.

We have to PLAN for better facilities and we simply cannot leave the kop built on an earth mound.

McCabe wanted a quick, cheap solution for the kop when he wanted to beat the pigs to a world cup ground. Now that won't happen we should do the kop properly.
