Calender on the other hand went with the old “and later in sport; have Leeds lost the race for automatic promotion?”, coupled with lingering shots of their sad players. Didnt mention who had overtaken them at this point.

Then they had Neil Redfearn looking and sounding like someone had just beheaded his favourite puppy, while he reiterated about 8000 times that its not over and Leeds need to keep going. They did talk through our goals, but with all the enthusiasm of the contact centre person reading out the T&Cs on your new dishwasher insurance. Then he consoled himself by having a good verbal wank over the Dingles and then they moved on to Rugby League.

Suspect a lot of that is the West Ham connection. They love ‘em some ‘Ammers in the London centric media. Anybody who upsets them is the enemy- especially when they’re narsty norvern mankeys like us or Bolton when they had their grief with them.

Calender is just a case of their entire production staff supporting, living and working in Leeds. They dont like us or the pigs outshining their sacred cow.
