Apologies if this has already been discussed but has anyone got tickets for the home end? If so, where are they sitting as I am about to order an e-ticket?

1970-71Just been looking on their forum. They’ve a real one sided dislike of us and I’ve never really understood why?
They even manage to slag real legends and greats such as Alan Woodward off.
Really weird bunch, they’re not rivals in any sense to me, but the way they go on you’d think they were from across the city.

Is that Ash or Tom ???

They must have never forgotten Woody's 3 assists in the comeback?

Great game that one. Loads of Blades on the side terrace and several pitch invasions if I remember correctly. The game in 1977/78 may have fixed some prejudices too - the one where United fans went across the pitch and Hull fans were clambering into the seats behind the terrace on the home end to escape the naughtiness. Not big or clever but it happened in the 70's and, no doubt, formed lingering emnities for certain generations.
United won 3-2 (Stainrod (2), Edwards)
For the first goal, the Hull players were running towards Colquhoun. It seems they were instructed to watch him. We must have had earlier corners that were aimed at Colquhoun but the Hull players successfully crowded him out so it looked like Woody aimed for Addison this timeMaster class in how to score from a corner from Woody. Hope the players see this. He also manages to deliver the ball with pin-point accuracy without having to put the ball right on the edge of the corner spot.
Is it me or do the blades fans behind the goal on the left celebrate hulls goal as well. Looks like two different games with the camera changing quality as well.
No segregation these days. Strict segregation started in the early 1980sIs it me or do the blades fans behind the goal on the left celebrate hulls goal as well. Looks like two different games with the camera changing quality as well.
Yes, two Hull goals were from a Hull fan who put them in you tube. The Blades goals were from a Blade fan who put them in you tubeAye, looks like they changed cameras for the second half!
My guess is that someone has stitched together this video from two separate sources, which have aged differently.
Lovely improvised finish from Addison for the equaliser.
The match at Burnley, that is, Burnley v Hull, when Hull needed to win to stop us being promoted, won’t have endeared us to them. There were thousands of Blades there (me included) supporting Burnley.
Hull didn’t win. (I think it was a draw?). And the joy was felt from Turf Moor via Todmorden and all the way back to Sheffield.
Yes well.. they could have lost (FFS) but I don’t think they did. It’s a long time ago now and all I remember is they needed to win but didn’t. The rest is a blur. Too many stops on the way home, including The Staff of Life pub in Todmorden, where we raised glasses with fellow Blades.Hull didn’t win. A draw I THINK. Ffs.
Bert was there. Most of us swapped ends at half time.Is it me or do the blades fans behind the goal on the left celebrate hulls goal as well. Looks like two different games with the camera changing quality as well.
