We did it all the time under Warnock, for one thing.

1) Very slightly increased our chances of automatic promotion
2) Had no effect on Wednesday's already zero chance of making the play offs
3) Increased the certainty of their belief that they'll storm the league next year

Sorry I don't get this sour grapes shit with Norwich. I think too many are holding a grudge from the time wasting game from the start of last season.

They've picked up 3 points in 9 which is much less than expected but they've still managed to rescue points.

There's no luck whatsoever in how many late goals they've scored.

I'd have liked the pigs to win just to see how Norwich would cope with a disappointing loss after another couple of poor results, but I cant see that much of a capitulation now.

Not condoning it, because there should be a better way of working out injury time, like the 4th official with a bit of kit that live updates the time remaining to play, which gets displayed on the scoreboard but until then the wording is "a minimum of 5 added minutes".

There's been worse than ~7min for a 5min board being put up this season. Wanting exactly X minutes and then the egg timer to start beeping is a sure fire way to make yourself feel even worse when something bad happens in injury time.

Can’t understand why the clock can’t be displayed like it is in rugby. No lack of transparency then. I have never understood why subs don’t result in the clock stopping. It’s bloody ridiculous- a team could “legitimately” take 3 x 3 minutes out of a game if they work it right (“get into the far corner when you get the sign son and then plod off”). Apart from that, if I’ve paid to watch, I’d like to see 90 minutes of play please.

A substitution and their keeper wasting time taking a goal kick.... that easily adds 2 minutes. Also in British football we let the current passage of play finish before blowing the whistle (e.g. when an attack breaks down), in International football you blow the whistle even if its bang in the middle of an attack with a player through on goal.

This is pretty standard stuff and how it has always been.

But how Sheffield Wednesday fans can manage 50 pages of crying foul about that free kick on their forum when the same ref allowed their second goal is beyond me.

Can completely understand if the ref would want to even that one up..... if Norwich missed out on the title because of a Maradona moment then that would be the end of his days in the Championship and he'd probably banished to the Conference.

Also.... goalkeeper handles the ball outside of the box to prevent a clear goalscoring opportunity? Since when was that a yellow card offence? Should have been down to 10 men for that early in the game.

Us and Leeds five behind, Norwich draw three [then eight clear], we both win three so nine overhauls them.

Norwich lose the playoff final on pens [assumes playoff 2xwins or win+draw] and they can be unbeaten [except pens] and stay down.

Because Rugby is crap and that's why attendances have been falling for years.

Leeds Rhino's the biggest super league club by attendances in 2018.... a whopping 14,950 average attendance.

I was meaning in the Promotion season specifically (plus Triple Assault, I suppose). Morgan vs Stoke springs immediately to mind. Asaba scored two in the last five minutes at Brighton, as well (a hat trick off the bench).

As if Leeds could win their next three games.... I'd be amazed if they managed to get even a point against Villa on current form. Considering they've just lost to 10 man Wigan at home.... makes our point away to Wigan the other day look much better.
