Leeds still 2 points ahead after we’ve both played Brum and Preston. The Pigs do us a favour by beating Leeds 0-0 as we stroll past Millwall.
Leeds regain the initiative by beating Wigan as the Blades are battled to a draw by Forest. Close wins against Brentford and Hull leave Leeds ahead.
But then, the footballing gods finally give us a break. After years of pissing on us, after wafting Simmo’s penalty over the bar, after moving the woodwork in the way of Duffy’s shots against Bristol City 4 times last year, finally we get a break.
The Blades 4-0 up against Ipswich and Leeds beating Villa by the same margin after 90 mins all seems lost. But in an amazing 17 minutes of stoppage time Villa score 4 unanswered goals to bring it level.
All square coming into the last game, both end as draws and the Blades go up on goal difference.

Because of last week’s cock-up, this Saturday is fucking crucial.

At 5pm on Saturday, if we are 4 or 5 behind Weeds, our prospects are poor. Less than that and it is still game on.
