Will we have to suffer more scenes tomorrow of Blackwell hugging Robins at some stage before the game in some fake manner as if he is saying to the camara 'look, I do have some friends and I am a well liked and respected manager.'

It was hilarious at Scunthorpe when he hugged Adkins during the warm-up in a very patronising way as if to say 'you are really doing a great job getting this far with this ground and squad.'

Last week he was hugging Hughton as if to say 'just watch and learn from me pal.'

All the while he is trying to crack some pathetic gag and the other manager is saying will you please leave me alone, I don't like you and I'm here to beat you.'

Yes, I'm obsessed. Blackwell OUT!!!

It's OK Micalijo,
Blackwell has said everything is ok not to worry and it appears that it is pure negativity that has overtaken the anti Blackwell brigade.
Just sit back and watch him take the club down the toilet! everyone else is!

Not just that Fiery, McCabe has said Blackwell will be provided with a platform for promotion. Everything is just fine.

Liked the old Duncs and Trevor one/two. Great stuff. Boom, boom.

You have to hand it to me for finding such an innovative angle of attack on Blackwell, don't you, please??

Quite looking forward to hearing his excuses tomorrow.

All that deduced from a few embraces? Damn you're good.

Come on Sants, you know what I'm getting at. Did you see em? Pathetic.

I have absolutely no idea what you're getting at.
I saw him talk to & have a laugh and a joke with his fellow contempories, I don't like jumping to conclusions about what they were discussing in the brief 5 second period but seen as though you have been willing to offer your view so will I

"Eh Kev, I can't believe some of those muppets of fans you have, want you out after you took them to Wembley"
"Don't worry Nigel/Chris, if the chairman gets swayed by the car park warriors I'll be the one laughing all the way to the bank with their hard earned northern money"

On the other hand the conversation could go like this:
All these fans come every week and I serve them up sh!t and they just can't see it! Anyway no problem if we lose again today the chairmans promised me more money in Jan so I'll see you in the return Surely I can't get found out before then these lot will take any crap you give 'em!

I think everyone sees what you are getting at Micalijo. For me its a little mundane and predicatable seeing your negative comments on the forum so much but you obviously enjoy yourself and unlike some other posters (past and present) seem to have a bit of an imagination.

but..

309 posts sine you joined 12 weeks ago.

Does anything about that statisic strike you as being a little bit sad?

It does me, but then again i have a life away from my computer.

That's fair enough (Santos, not Syko). I've posted before that there is nothing sadder imo than posting on a forum that you think people are sad but that's your feeling then fair enough.

I did expect to get some stick, you have to believe me on that, from those who can be arsed to respond. I know I'm being a bit ridiculous (although I really do think the other managers think will you just sod off and let me get on with my job). Bored, Sunday morning, desperate to have a pop at Blackwell and get my fix etc etc. It's just the way I am.

Also, Blackwell may be a pratt in my eyes but I totally agree, he can't be that daft earning the wedge he does and he'll be the one laughing all the way to the bank, hopefully in a few weeks time.

I think you know that there are many more than the car park lads who want Blackwell removed asap.

Perhaps we should get Strachen in real quick, maybe Brendan Rodgers, or don't forget that real talent John Barnes. Oh yes, switching manager can really help.

Good point, but IMO it saved us from relegation by replacing Robson. But then again, I really believe a monkey would have done a better job. Never in my lfetime have I witnessed a manager get so little from so much. I digress.....

It also saved us from relegation when Heath resigned and Warnock came in.

Well said! What he does before the game makes me cringe

And to think some people were trying to claim it was all down to Blackwell rather than Warnock that we did so well in 2002-3. I think we can say with certainty that that myth has now well and truly been buried!

Ha ha! I'll give you credit here Micalijo. You're persistent!

Does it really matter how he greets another manager?

Blackwell's still the man for the job. No change in my opinion.

On the whole I would say no, it doesn't matter one iota if he gives them a bearhug, a cuddle, a slap on the back or, preferably, a firm handshake and a polite "Good Afternoon". As long as he's not giving them a blowjob and slipping them a shocker then that's fine by me.

I'm not at all convinced he's the man for the job, but I agree, this is surely nonsense. Who cares how he greets other managers?

Cheers Swiss, appreciate that!

No it doesn't really matter, and I accept that I deserve some stick for this one.

For me though it's really unpleasant in all sorts of ways and I do think it indicates a phoney, fake, even arrogant personality which if repeated on the training ground would make players think 'what a tosser' we have here. Mind you, I've said before that last 2 games have been good in terms of effort etc so I'm not sure if I can link the hugs to recent defeats!

They usually show the 'embrace' and I for one will be waiting for it tomorrow and I'll give it a rating on my cringeometer, which I'm sure you'll look forward to.

Seriously obsessive Mic and you could be on the verge of having to see Mr McCabe for some Blakwell tinted gigs...but laughed as I always think exactly the same.

I reckon Robins will get a 'now then young man haven't you grown / aren't you a clever boy' type pat followed by an Uncle Nobhead stylee grab and then a false pointing of his right index finger out to something towards the centre circle that isn't even there but he thinks it'll boost his street cred and look good on sky...

Cooper can we have odds on this type of thing please?...

I love it Dog!!! Great stuff. It aint just me. It's me, you and Silent!!

Great prediction for tomorrow by the way.

What I always find amusing is the one where he grabs em like you say and points to the stand which I think is the old 'let's have a beer afterwards' and Hughton etc is thinking 'Jesus Christ, I've got 90 minutes to think of an excuse'.

Now if you'd started this as a Robbie style "Quinn Watch Game", then we'd be talking.

To be fair I think the back slapping is more apparent in the Championship. In the PL the managers don't even look at each other when they shake hands.

Personnally my money is on Blackie turning up unshaven with a 'Blackwell Out' T Shirt on under his partly zipped Macron Anorak (2 sizes too small), giving the rods to the dingles and supping a can of Skol.

Then Slurring his words he throws his arm round Robins and speaks the lyrics of Kenny Rodgers "the Gambler". On the the last line he points to his head, and then points to Robins as if to say "thats words of wisdom son"

Silent, I believe you are an expert lip-reader. What does he really say on these occasions?

It is not what he says. What makes me cringe is the pre-match hugs and kisses he has with the opposition manager as if he is trying to tell us Blades fans that he is highly respected by all the managers

Absolute bollocks Silent. Has it ever occured to you that being a professional football manager is being in a pressure cooker and those 90 minutes are crucial to both managers, i dont' blame them for having a laugh and a joke.

Maybe, just maybe, Blackwell does have some friends in the game and not everyone thinks he's an absolute tosser.
