Alleged racism by a Sheffield United Ladies player

For me,it shows he is a dangerous guy who related the perpetrator to a whole race of people. So venting his anger on anyone of that race would have been acceptable. Isn't this how the seeds of racism or hatred in general is sown and grown?

True but that was his point about how the shock of seeing his close friend violated made him want revenge and it distorted his mind and judgement. He just wanted to gain revenge at any costs, unfortunately it’s been an an horrible trait of being human over the years.
Some football hooligans had that motivation for previous battles, but revenge violence leads to more revenge violence and it never stops.

He said he wanted a black person to start on him so he could kill them to avenge his friend. You keep misquoting him in every post.

I’l leave It with you because you keep making different claims each time you post.

Yes but why? You assume his motivation was racism when the motivation was revenge on behalf of his friend,
still not right though to discriminate thinking about killing anyone that has the slightest resemblance to the perpetrator.
Agree though it could be a racially motivated thoughts that he had 20 years ago, no one knows.

Please point me to where I’ve passed any opinion on his motivation. I’ve simply quoted what he’s said. You, on the other hand have put forward opinions on what he didn’t say. More than one example of what he didn’t say in fact. You either haven’t read the transcript/interview or totally misinterpreted or being more generous misunderstood it., so let’s not have this “you assume” business when the basics of Neesons statement haven’t even been grasped by yourself.

You’ve done it again in your edit of the last post I replied to. “Anyone who has a resemblance to” ? Now you’re just making things up.

It can sometimes prove difficult to explain things and get a viewpoint across on a forum.
My posts look like I’m defending him when I’m not that bothered really.
Would be able to explain it better verbally over a few pints in a pub, then you’ll realise I can talk nonsense but no ones perfect.

True.

And that your Honour, is the concluding piece of evidence .

It is a well known fact that Porktalk doesn't like naughty words but any Blade on here knows that 'twat' is fair game, thanks to His Worshipful Foxter and Lady Linz.
Whilst not wishing to tread on your Honour's toes, I feel the black cap may be in order here.

Innocent till proven guilty, eh?

:-)

Reminds me of the scene in “inglorious bastards” where he holds three fingers up, you have given yourself away..

Sack her with immediate effect. No place for racism in todays society. Ffs even if people do harbour racist thoughts or opinions why do they open their mouths?

Really annoyed this idiot has tarnished the name of our club.

If Billy Sharp had done it, would you feel the same?

I think this deserves a bit more reflection before we jump to conclusions. Some interesting reflection in the article below from SYFF.

If it works in the same way as a Sheffield and Hallamshire FA hearing, they'll just ignore any statements, evidence, reports etc and fine the wrongdoer and the victim pretty much the same amount

Bang on.

We had an incident a couple of years ago where an opposition player racially abused on my son's team mates, who subsequently walked off the pitch upset.

Their manager shrugged his shoulders.

A few hours after the game they put a complaint in that 2 of our players had racially abused their players. We're a multicultural team, they were all white.

For good measure they falsely accused my son of punching the racial abuser in the back of the head.

They clearly expected us to complain so got in their first to try and protect themselves.

The biggest joke was that the league sent us the statements and names and addresses of those making them! Seriously had to restrain myself from not contacting them. What kind of cunts tell horrendous lies about children to protect appalling behaviour.

United terminate her contract then Spurs sign her in 5 games time, a master stroke from Daniel Levy to get another one of ours on the cheap. :)

Would be interesting to know what evidence was given though.

I'm a cynic, unless she's confessed or there is video evidence there really isn't anything that could've been put forward that would confirm this sort of behaviour.

It doesn't sound like the accuser was the only one to witness the noises from what I remember.

I would guess they use a preponderance of evidence standard, so witness testimony etc. is probably enough.

The decision to terminate indicates its based on length of ban and contract up for renewal at end of season meaning presumably there aren't that many games left. Club statement also makes reference to player maintaining their innocence. Could be a means for the Club to be seen to part ways without endorsing guilty verdict of panel.

Terminating her contract on hearing the ruling is most definitely endorsing the guilty verdict.

So the club is ok with violent criminals and sex offenders, but not racists.
Is there a difference because this incident was on the pitch, and whilst acting as an SUFC employee, and the other incidents I assume you are referring to were not?

Her actions have made her unavailable. Could be a breach of contract/money saving exercise.
Money saving I can believe. Breach of contract because of a ban, not so much. Gross misconduct because of racism more likely. I have to wonder, if this was the men's first team and the player was key - and had cost a lot to buy, would the contract have been terminated.
