Reckons we celebrated like we'd already gone up. Also refers to us as 'Sheffield'.

No mate. We were just delighted to beat the Championship's best football team, managed by the best coach the league has ever seen, backed by the greatest set of fans. Oh and did I forget to mention they play the best football as well?

Honoured to have shared a pitch with them, tbh.

They don't get it that's nothing like we celebrate after winning promotion, that was a standard win and thanks to the fans. Don't Leeds do something like this? If not they should learn to.

I seem to recall Peterborough fans when we did them at their place 1 nil, commenting as though we'd won the FA Cup final.

Considering the shit we had put up with in L1 and even before we got relegated, our fans have just been on one massive ride to where we are now.

It's what we do - we did it at West Brom too and we did it again at Leeds.

Quite pleased Bamford has quoted this in the press - just get it pinned on the dressing room wall.

Some idiots just never learn.

If I was Bamford, I'd be wondering where my career was going, having been touted as the next big thing when at Chelsea a few years ago. I'd then have looked at Billy Sharp and seen a player who's still scoring loads of goals and causing teams problems whilst into his 30s, and then I'd think that instead of sneering at them, maybe I should admire and try and be like them!

I hate celebration-shaming like this that's crept into football. We just won at the 2nd-place team in the league in "the biggest game of their lives" according to Jansson, of course we're going to bloody celebrate.

Seem to recall old Pontus geeing up all the Leeds fans after they'd won at the Lane earlier in the season as well, but oh well

“Having been up there all season we’ve dealt with the pressure pretty well. Now the pressure, I think, will turn on Norwich and Sheffield United.

Great line this....was the fuck does it even mean???

Why would you start lauding your own perceived pressure handling abilities after you've lost to your promotion rivals and had your keeper sent off after two terrible fuck ups at the back.

Not forgetting one or two terrible fuck ups at the front as well.

They had 2 or 3 decent chances but failed to get any of them on target.

That's not unlucky, it's crap finishing.

Its all part of the modern football idiot clutching-at-straws defence strategy. Goes hand in hand with:

"I wouldn't swap any of their players for ours"
"We had an off day, they are nothing special"
"I'd rather lose than play football like them"
"I'll laugh when they come straight back down"

Unfortunately they talked this game into something it wasn't and are having to do a hell of a lot of back pedalling, hence some of the hilarious reactions coming from West Yorkshire.

It's an utterly vapid criticism with no real meaning. Of course our fans were celebrating. It's a big game against a team we despise. What's the appropriate amount of celebration?

You hear it after every big game from some bitter losers.

We're all aware of how far there is to go, so I guess no one should enjoy a win until the last day of the season or something.

Presumably if Leeds had won they’d have just sang ‘for he’s a jolly good fellow’ and applauded politely.

He probably wasn't far off calling us uncouth working class riffraff before he looked at that map he's sweeping things under and realised he was up north too.

There there Patty hope these help. I think Bielsablub could do with a cuddle if you can stop crying long enough.

How did he think Leeds fans would have celebrated if they won, shrug their shoulders and walk away quietly, leave ten mins from the end in silence.. clueless airhead..

He said that we hadn't been in the top two before so we won't be able to handle the pressure, I think we've been in every position in the top 6 this season, I also remember being 7 or 8 points behind Leeds at one point so he needs to look at his own teams pressure handling qualities before looking at others, but I'd rather be second with 8 to go than 3rd, and if theyre 3rd for any length of time the pressure on them will get a great deal more.
