I’ve learned a lot from Sheffield United. It’s one of the teams I’ve leaned the most from this season. They have a new style of playing and been faithful to that style all season.

He said similar things in the week leading up to the game at Bramall Lane ... then turned out perhaps the only side that has managed to nullify us tactically all season--man-marking Duffy out of the game, 3 and at times 4 of their players pressing high, stopping our wing-backs and centre-halves advancing. We've been stopped in other games because we've been poor or have been dragged down to other team's levels (I'm looking at you, "Lord of the Pies" Steve Bruce), but, to my mind, only Bielsa has had the tactical nouse, this year, to spanner our works (Matron!).

So, yeah, "cool operator" for me.

To be fair, Birmingham did an excellent job on us too. Largely by forcing Norwood ever deeper.

I understand why some of you think that was hard work watching, because everything has to be translated and he speaks slowly in Spanish anyway.

But I'd sooner listen to that, where someone has something reasonably interesting to say, even lost in translation, than 95% of the dull as ditchwater manager press conferences

We play with overlapping centrekeepers and insidewinghalfforwards.

I’m half-expecting us to play the bloke who shouts “PROGRAMMES THREE QUID” in a central defensive attacking role on the wing in the hole behind the striker at full back tomorrow.
