Has any of the slimy, cheating Leeds scum been seen sneaking around the training ground?
The old cheat will probably have drones up!

I agree with going with Dowell over Duffy - he has looked off the pace for a while now (how he won MotM on Sat is beyond me). I'd much prefer to bring him on the the last 25mins if required.
might have had something to do with the world class goal he scored that secured the win  UTB

Wilder will have a couple of his ‘pals’ patrolling the perimeter. Anyone who says ‘I aren’t ...’ may be in some bother.

Biggest league game since, erm, well - I can't remember.

Hoping last night didn't take too much out of the legs.

Team picks itself I think, especially with Duffy having the night off;

- - - - - - - - - - Henderson - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - Basham - - Egan - - JOC - - - - -

Baldock - - - - - - - - - - - - - Stevens

- - - - - - - Norwood - - Fleck - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - Duffy- - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - Sharp - - McG- - - - - - - - -

Subs: Moore, Cranie, Coutts, Stearman, Johnson, Dowell, Hogan.

Agreed? Thought so.

Nervous and excited in equal measures.

i’m feeling utterly confident we can go there and get a win. it will be the sweetest of feelings. jealous of those who have tickets!

I must admit I’m not nervous about this game. I think the two teams are pretty evenly matched and it will be a close game. We were unlucky in the home fixture this season. They didn’t deserve to beat us and neither did they look too good for us at any point in that game.

We’re coming off the back of what sounded like a heroic performance last night. I think we’ll be mentally very strong after that. It was the perfect preparation for it.

I really fancy our chances tbh and can’t wait for it. I’ll be there!

I hardly ever post anything in threads about who should be in the line up in our next match but looking at the weather forecast, it is likely that the pitch at Elland Road will be heavy and we should be picking players who can adapt to playing on heavy pitches

I’d be tempted to start with the players that finished against Brentford.

Leeds are in form at the moment and I’d happily take a draw and move on. Keep it tight and keep the pressure on. Nothing silly.

Win at Weeds and were up , I don't think anyone will stop us , it will give the team real belief , its a massive ask , but if we do I really think we will be unstoppable , been an old pessimistic sod I don't think we will win it though , a draws the best we can wish for .

I'm sure you're right TCLC :-) To be honest I was had saying to my lad since half time that he should have been subbed so just goes to show what I know. It, however, doesn't change the fact that I'd personally start with Dowell on Sat

3 questions I keep asking;
What impact does 3 points have?
What impact does 1 point have?
What does a defeat mean?

Brain cannot compute.

A defeat means we are 5 points behind them with 8 to play. Not a good outcome. That would mean we have to do better than them in at least 2 of those 8 games and match them in the other 6.

More importantly, where’s everybody boozing? Never been to Leeds so no idea what the options are

Been looking around and absolutely no neutrals are tipping us to get anything from this one and many are tipping Leeds to do us by three or four.

Leeds fans themselves seem to be nervously confident but are calling for an hostile atmosphere to “frighten our players and fans to death”

It’s a big task on our hands, but we have the best set of players and management in my Blades watching time, if any one can pull this one off Wilder and Knill can.

.

I’m hoping the early kick off and appalling weather that’s forecast dampen this down a bit.

The Easter Monday 1990 atmosphere was the most intimidating I’ve ever experienced, the only time I’ve ever felt in physical danger at a football game. It is one of only two games I’ve ever attended where I believe the fans actually did contribute to the result going the way it did. ( the other was our FA cup quarter final against Man U in 1993)

With that in mind I wonder if CW is considering playing Cranie in a back 3 with a midfield of Basham/Fleck/Norwood?
Has Cranie lost a game he's started yet? Could be a good move to man mark Hernandez.

I reckon we'll play 11 players at least.

was there that day 4-0 I believe the great Gary Speed!!

I'd play Freeman rather than Baldock and swap Hogan for Washington. But I suspect your selection is much more likely.

I think the O/P line up is what CW will go with.
It's just a case of do we play Duffy or Dowell for me...Mind you last time at ER we went with Duffy and Brooks behind Clarke which worked well, but can't see that type of shape on Saturday.

was there that day 4-0 I believe the great Gary Speed!!

I was 16 years old and got my Cousins ticket as he decided to take bank holiday work at double time.

Horrible experience, pelted with coins, darts thrown into the away end, and chased back to the coach by a frenzied mob. If we’d have won I doubt we would have got away alive.

And Duffy slid in Brooks for the winner.
Duff to start for me on Satdi - Dowell to come on for Duffs later or Cranie on for Duffs and Bash goes into midfield.
In order to win I think we need Duffy with his close control. There will be pretty much no time to dwell on the ball and Duffy is one of our most gifted on the ball.

Have a feeling that Dowell could get one of his sweet left foot strikes in this one.
He was good in a high pressure game at WBA but then the intensity at ER will be a far cry from the limp environment of the Hawthorns, this season.
