I could have been there. I did a couple of pitch snow clearances for a free ticket and a pie! I would have been 14 and that’s about right.

If memory serves , there was a red indicator and a yellow indicator, with another set of scores at the front of the Bramall Lane terrace. Complicated stuff!Anyone wondering what the letters are along the base of the stand?
These were the scoreboard for other matches. Wednesday were alway “A”.
A man would walk up to them with numbered tiles in his hand and display the latest scores as they happened. There was often a loud cheer as he put a 1 (or higher) next to “A” followed by a lower number. It was the equivalent of the current day chant of “Sheffield Wednesday’s f*cked it up again.
Things we did eh? before Mobil phones, Electronic scoreboards and ‘t tinterweb!

As a young lad I used to love getting the programme & seeing which team the letters were & then the cheer when the fella put up that the pigs were losing.
