So it may not have been the best performance of the season but I think it's the best win! Two players key to how we play sidelined and one coming off before half time, having to tweak the shape at times even as the game went on. Playing against a very physical team, the type of team people say we would struggle against they get the ball forward quickly and rely on set pieces something we have recently had issues with.

However the biggest reason why it was the best win was after what happened on Friday! Some teams would have buckled tonight following the Villa game, teams have been known to collapse after such a disappointment. I myself questioned this after Friday night, look what happened to Liverpool at palace a few years ago! Not this team though with this manager, the job him and Knill will have done on those players this week cannot be underestimated. For me they can give him a contract for life I don't care he is the best manager I have seen in my lifetime and I would imagine in most people's older than me.

I had a debate with a few posters following the Maddine signing, the fact that some were questioning his decision didn't sit well with me well tonight certainly put that to bed. I also reiterate the fact about him being the best manager in a generation that includes Warnock and Bassett.

Great to see Wilder gather the team together at the final whistle before applauding the crowd.

I think Wilder realises that players were asked to step up to the mark and everyone without exception responded accordingly.

Great win and great performance (in particular second half)

I did wonder if the draw would be dubbed "Astanbul".

I did chuckle at Crystanbul the season Liverpool, quite literally, slipped up.

Very much agree.

The Villa capitulation had the potential to ruin our season and created this big mental test against Boro.
Boro were crap to watch and negative but they have such a strong/ organised defence.
We had a weakended team out and at half time I was thinking that this was such a thought game I’d probably take a draw.

So to up our game 2nd half and show such character in the face of adversity will go a long way to restoring belief. BIG WIN.
Now we need to beat Reading on Saturday and then the wheels are back on the track again.
