Anyway , its getting tighter at the top , and with Derby , Norwich and Bristol City winning and us cocking up we really need to win Wednesday , it would be so easy to slip out of the top six so a draw would be no good , lets see what reaction we get from the players , and also what team Chris picks ? Will Hogan of Duff get a start ?

I agree it’s an important match, but even if we lose we stay ahead of Boro, so I’m pretty relaxed about it. I think we’ll not lose anyhow. They’ll be smarting from the Villa match and will get their mad up sufficiently I’m sure.

Well we were 10 minutes away from this game being a less important must win, but that’s done and gone now. Must win, not sure, must not lose, I’m saying yes. A draw here and at WBA, either side of a victory against Reading, will remove the disappointment of throwing away 2 points on Friday night.

It’s not one I fancy I must say and I’ve been saying that well before the Villa game (which incidentally I did fancy a win at).

It’ll be interesting to see how the players react.

Edit: My post was based on us going for the top 2 by the way, if we’re settling for 6th then the result against Boro and WBA probably isn’t that important, it’ll be against the teams below us where it counts.

15 matches left, a third of the season. No need to panic if we drop any more points as we have ample time to recover. The rest of our home fixtures will help is out as well.

That being said I think we will beat Boro anyway. They are solid if unspectacular away from home but I can see our lads wanting to make up for Friday.

None of what you are saying is actually true to be fair. In an ideal world we beat Boro and get back on track, but there are 15 games left, and we could lose 4, draw one, and finish with 86 points. This could easily be good enough for autos, and what order the results come in doesn't really matter. Only the fans will worry, Chris and the team have proven that we can be good enough, and I have faith that we are the 3rd best team in the division, at least.

It's not daft to consider putting Moore in and keeping Hendo on the bench. Players who have a howler of a game risk getting dropped. Keepers are no exception.

Important game ..yes .. along with other remaining 14 games I think 4 out of our next 6 are at The Lane also . The one thing guaranteed is we’ll need to be at our best on Weds defending crosses into the box against Boro something that we weren’t so good at in the latter stages Friday & in our worst performance of the season up at the Riverside .
It’ll be a test for Henderson & the centre halves on corners & long throws as they are a big side that crowd out the six yard box , if Madine is a starter I think he’ll also be needed on defensive duties
That aside if we turn in a performance level anywhere near that the first 80 mins from Villa I’m very confident we’ll come away with 3 points

Think it's a bit other way round actually, think winning at home will be harder than winning away.

Anyone who watched us at Villa won't fancy a trip to the Lane and we will see lots of parked buses at the Lane going forwards.

Parking the bus at home will be unacceptable to most home fans so will therefore give us a better chance when we're away.
