The only way for a boycott to work is for United to refuse to sell the tickets if they are priced in the £50 to £60 price range.
The away club don't get a penny in gate receipts so it would only harm them. From an atmosphere perspective it would not be good for us, but from a financial perspective it would be bad for them.

Wouldn't look good live on TV with no away fans in the ground, then the explanation comes in that there has been a boycott due to due to the obscene ticket prices.
 
Correct me if I’m wrong but the away club should be given 10% of the ticket allocation IF they can be housed safely. It’s how they (and us at the Lane) get away with giving them only 1 tier. However if they try giving us the lower tier instead then surely they are breaking the allocation rules as they are offering us less than they are capable of?
The rules also state the home fans must be charged an equivalent amount in a similar part of the ground. I.e the front of the kop.
Obviously that isn’t the case either. There’s wanting to gain every advantage in a local derby and then there’s blatantly trying to commit daylight robbery

I’m sure the 3000 seats or 10% stadium capacity rule is only in the Premier League.
Don’t think there’s a minimum allocation rule in the EFL, clubs can allocate what they like.
Remember our promotion last game of the season at home to Chesterfield, we only gave Chesterfield a max of 500 seats.

There is an EFL rule which states that all clubs MUST charge away clubs the same price as home fans (based on the facilities). I remember a few years when SW were in league 1 the away fans complained because they were being charged the same prices as the home fans in the north stand. The EFL agreed that fans in the Leppings Lane end should be charged the same prices as their Kop, so they forced SW to re-imburse every away fan with a £2 refund.

However clubs can get around this rule slightly by charging massive admission prices to both home and away fans BUT they then have a memebersip scheme where home fans can get a big reduction off the normal price.

I don't think it is SYP or SAG that prevents this, it's Wendy themselves as a direct snipe at us for only giving them the bottom tier at Bramall Lane

The difference is that the rest of Bramall Lane is sold out whilst the swill has several empty seats so we are justified in selling to our own fans and limiting theirs

We've always had both tiers at the swill before and Im sure the SYP and SAG would prefer it that way, rather than both sets of fans being on the same end
 
I've only missed one of our games at the Sty since I started watching us in 1981, and that was due to illness.

However, whilst I can't see it happening tbh, if it is £50-60 then I won't go on principal. I've only missed two away games on principal in my life due to cost but I'll have no problems making this a third.

I know some Blades would pay £100 because they don't like the thought on no-one there to support the players, but personally that pricing would go beyond loyalty. You have to make a stand somewhere.

However, like I say, I doubt it will top £45 which is scandalous enough frankly.

Rule 34.2.1 states all EFL clubs must make provision for a minimum 2000 away supporters or 10% of the stadium capacity. Basically they CAN reduce our ticket allocation below this figure but need our consent and have to inform the league with a valid reason (I.e.ground renovations etc) and gain written permission from them. I would assume Chesterfield accepted our request due to poor sales.
Personally I’d be surprised if they have a leg to stand on

That’s makes sense, however I’ve just google “capacity Leppings Lane lower tier and it shows the capacity as 2,494.

Although it seems this is the number of seats, the police like to use loads of netting, so probably reduces to 1,500 to 2000 for safety reasons.
 
We will pay it and it will be a great memory for all in attendance, I'm not willing to pay to sit in that death trap when I can walk to my living room and laugh at the pricks from my sofa.

I'll rather pay £50 to let a man throw darts at me for 90 minutes
 
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they could in theory charge us £42+ and then make it one one of their reduced ticket price games for their fans. You're allowed so many of those per season but usually clubs extend this to the away fans out of courtesy as they pick matches where neither team is likely to sell out (eg Wigan, Ipswich etc who don't tend to travel well). I think this could only be done if they charge us there top category price which is £42 though I don't think they can just make up a price to charge us but could be wrong?

Would be great, but people won't be able to help themselves, because they know that someone else will step in and buy the ticket they boycott.

It needs United as a club to refuse the take them off the pigs in the first place - take the choice away from us.
 



After the disgusting antics of South Yorkshire Police and the stewards before and during the 4-2 win I personally wouldn’t give them a penny of my money. Keeping fans in trams, late entry to the ground, one turnstile open, fans being crushed outside. Will these fucking idiots ever learn??? I don’t want to sound melodramatic, BUT, that ground in my opinion is still not safe to this day. I’ve been several times to the shithole but never again. Get fucked.

No good for the players though, I was one of the ones at Bolton as I was worried about a boycott and a shit atmosphere and about 7 million went
 
I'll be letting the kids have my points, just like I did last season. That way the robbing bastards only get the price of a kids ticket. If there is a clamour for a full boycott I'll definitely support it.

The only answer is to laugh at them by the Blades selling them to us for a £5, they can afford it but he pigs would be paying excessive money to see a whipping.
 
We could always refuse to sell the tickets if they are £50.
Then about 3,000 blades turn up on the night outside leppings lane, noise should still be heard inside the ground for the team, this would also piss Sag and SYP off not to mention negative publicity for the deluded on TV.

Don't know where rumour of £50+ for Blades fans started (or why) but Wendy
announced ticket prices today for the game.

Non-members price on Kop - £39, so that is the price they can charge us, surely.

Non-members on South = £46
 



They aren’t selling tickets for home fans in the Leppings Lane end so hopefully that means we have both tiers like Leeds did this season.
