That was amended by the Football In the Know Information Act 2017, promoted by Maxwell Maxster-Magic M.P. It now applies only if you were told by a “notification person” that they’d seen a player at the training ground.

In Schedule 5 of the Act “notification person” is deemed to include a groundsman, a coach (football or diesel), a dog-walker, an Academy assistant and a physician (provided he is there and then conducting a medical examination).

It’s not straight forward at all this ITK. I think we ought to draft a protocol.

What about the back stop of “high ups” at the club. No deal unless named.

If we keep everyone here and sign Hogan, great window. It’s a signing that gives us so many options. We usually play Duffy in behind Sharp and Goldie but we can now look at so many combinations depending on who we play against. The four strikers offer everything.

Power: Madine
Finishing: Sharp
Pace: Hogan
Link up play: Goldie

We can easily change shape too now during games. Imagine Duffy, Dowell and Goldie in a 3 behind Sharp. He’d fill his boots.

Although Hogan is a bit more pacey but also creative and a brilliant finisher. Someone who can create something from nothing. The kind of striker we’ve been crying out for for a long time

Makes me laugh how this is not to be posted on here , isn't it to do with Sheff utd ??

if we can get this over the line. this could be fantastic. as he has an abilty to make most strikers better & get Brentford hogan. we potentially struck gold. id have to praise wilder for his patience & that maybe the brooks money has always been there but has wilder has chatted about. being a manager at 3 of his 4 clubs that either gone to liquidation or very close too. he reluctant to waste money & wait

Fell for that one....

Wilder has made his position clear, he wants to gain promotion this season and he seems a man of principles who would walk out if he thought he was fighting a losing battle. If the board stab Wilder in the back by weakening his team when they are entering the home straight

It would be suicidal for the owners and seriously even our owners wouldn’t be that stupid.

They'd never give Robbo a job, would they?

Never sell Deane and Fjortoft on the same day, would they?

Nobody could be that stupid, could they?

Hogan in just in time to score a hat trick in against Mrs Doubtfires team on March 4th.

He plays off the shoulder has genuine pace not Washington 'pace' sharp = poacher, mcg = link, madine = target, Hogan = pace.

Which I understand, but that contradicts your second answer which is that he isn’t a squad player. Surely, he doesn’t play alongside sharp, therefore will be used as a replacement.

Which I have no issue with, other than it’s a lot of money to pay in wages for a bench player.

remember Hogan playing for Stocksbridge a few years ago and scoring a few

Regardless of what you think of our current ownership issues they've backed Wilder in this JTW - We will be paying a decent amount of Hogan and Madine's wages.

Two seasons ago: Hanson / Carruthers / Jay O'shea?
One year ago: Wilson / Holmes / Leonard
This season: Dowell / Hogan and Madine

I have no doubt that we're going up under Wilder even if its not this season
Should have copywrited this, just seen Gareth Barbers stolen it and put it on Facebook blades chat! You swine ha-ha UTB

Is there any good reason as to why he “surely” doesn’t play alongside Sharp ??

Honestly, I can’t think of one !

I’m not saying Tufty will go with this pairing all of the time, there will of course be games when a different permutation will work better (on paper at least). Particularly away from home when I would expect Madine to get more pitch time.

But never having BOTH hulk and Sharp on the pitch at the same time (which by inference is saying one of them will ALWAYS be warming the bench at any given moment) is surely being dismissive of what, to my mind, is a potentially explosive partnership :).

To glibly dismiss this, IMHO, is naive.

I think to say he can can come in and play alongside sharp would hugely discredit the amazing season McGoldrick is having. McGoldrick and sharp are first pick - don’t think anyone would disagree with that. My argument would be that Madine is the natural replacement for McGoldrick, which leaves little room for hogan unless he plays the sharp role. I aren’t saying he can’t play alongside Sharp but it would seem unlikely under the current set up, and the only available slot would be off Madine/McGoldrick e.g. the ‘Sharp role’.

Maybe he and sharp can strike a great partnership but I see little opportunity for this to even flourish due to already having two more natural support strikers for sharp.

Not saying this means he can’t play with sharp but he’s pretty similar player to sharp in that he’s a penalty box player and seems to be a pretty decent finisher - they might end up taking the same positions etc . Though it Looks like he plays off the shoulder with a touch more pace.

With sharp and madine also here It’s good options. to have - when was the last time we had this quality up front?

but I think he might play best with a clever player like mcgoldrick to play him in with little reverses and through balls, he has more pace that sharp to get in the end of them.

That said fitness wise and Match sharpness - he’s going to need to prove he should be starting imo.

I think he starts with Sharp, probably with Dids or Duffy playing behind.
