What’s this I’ve heard about United players re decorating their PINK changing room at Norwich yesterday?

I'd have stuck a few Ipshit badges around too for good measure

The thing that strikes me is, how pathetic those dressing room facilities are. I've changed in better in the works 5-a-side league. Just shows how some grounds can look relatively modern and smart on the outside, but underneath the veneer, are actually a bit of a dump. Of course, some grounds, including the one in S6, are decrepit and outdated both inside and out.

It must be a rare treat for the majority of sides in this division when they come to the Lane and get to use facilities that are a bit more in keeping with football at the highest level.

Seriously, what's the point of the pink dressing room?

Do they seriously think pink will put off the opposition? It's all a bit weird

I’m sure it’s scientifically proven that pink changing rooms (in this case) can have an affect on testosterone levels. A prison in America changed their underwear to pink and violence levels dropped like a stone. It’s one of them mind-trick things.

But as the poster above says - that changing room is pathetic.

In a word, yes. In the US they use the colour in some prison cells to hep cool down fractious prisoners.

In my mind, doing things off the pitch purely to disrupt your visitors is cheating, however minor. We saw this approach in Norwich’s antics at the Lane last year.

They’re a very good side - there’s just no need for this garbage. Their owners should be embarrassed.

Ed - Ainsley Harriott beat me to it...

Its just another step teams go to to get an advantage.

Cold showers
"Losing" key to treatment room (birmingham)
Its the away dressing room. They're hardley going to make it a lap of luxury

I'm sure blades have their own tricks.

If we do then we shouldn’t.

There’s a big difference between having more basic facilities for visitors to actually going to extra trouble to disrupt your opponents.

If ridiculous coloured walls takes a few milligrams of adrenaline out of the opposition team, then why not pipe distracting music in there too?

It minor stuff but it reveals something about Farke and his employers.

Lego bricks and ball bearings on the floor, light switch wired to each coat peg, bog roll smeared with fiery jack and Pinchy lurking in the bog with a toy dinosaur.

Major respect for the music they had on in the background though, best song on the album.

The disruptive and delaying tactics on the pitch are worse, since it spoils the flow of the game for their own fans too.

From the moment they scored their first (11th minute) until we equalised they:
kicked the ball away when we had a thrown in or free kick
Ball boys didn’t bother to get the ball for us
Time wasting by keeper
Little 1-2’s between keeper and defender with no attempt to go forward
As well as the usual stuff like not retreating 10 yards for free kicks.

Given they can play really good attacking football it’s pathetic. But if I was a fan there, paying good money to watch, I’d be well pissed off. They are and should be better than that.

A few teams do this, seen their full backs go very wide and take pass towards the corner flag. It's a tactic to draw us forward therefore creating more space when the ball is returned to the keeper and launched forward.

Norwich are a good footballing side so it's a shame they have to resort to some poor time wasting efforts.

Remember when there was a trend for people to wear pink polo shirts about 10 years ago? What a bunch of bell-ends. They all thought they were being 'different' I'm sure but they are about as 'different' as someone sporting a beard and sleeve tattoos more recently.

The away dressing rooms are always poorer quality than the home ones - it’s all about doing little things to try and get an advantage, shit changing rooms might upset fancy dan players etc. Fortunately under wilder, there’s no danger of Blades ever being bothered by things like this.

Reminds me of a radio interview with a female skinhead that I heard years ago.

Reporter: why have you shaved your head

Girl: I want to be different

Reporter: So why do you wear a Harrington jacket and Doc Martens

Girl: Because I want to be different

Reporter: Look around, there's dozens of you all with shaved heads and wearing the same jackets and boots.

Girl: Yeah well, we're all different.

Bizarre, but she did have a point
