There'll come a match in the season when it's do or die. Shit or bust.

It's at that exact point where Sheffield United Football Club always fails.

We could be 6 points clear of 3rd with one game to go and people would still write us off. I saw a PNE fan on Twitter saying their team is no worse than ours. Also saw a Forest fan saying their squad is miles better. It’s proper pissing people off how good we are.
No body expected us to stay the course when Bassett took us up.We maybe faded last season that has no baring on this one and we are in a better position with a stronger squad all to play for.
We had two really serious beatings in 1990,West Ham 5-0 & Leeds 4-0 Wilder was in and around it that season ,has he got the team with the same durability ,we will find out very quickly .
We could lose to Norwich ,that Doasnt stop overall journey.
I'm backing us to get something there.

I admire your optimism

Maybe just once we don’t ….....
Maybe we won’t but the probability is that we will. Did you see anything in the Swansea game to suggest otherwise? I suspect we’re setting ourselves up for more disappointment which is a shame because we’re having a very good season, punching well above our financial weight and making progress on last season.

We’ve all been there before so many times that we get that fatalism that things will go wrong. The thing is I’m not sure CW or indeed the players subscribe to that. Swansea wasn’t great certainly second half but before that we’d won four in a row. The championship is like that. There isn’t, in my opinion at least, a Wolves who are going to march away so there’s opportunities for probably as many as ten teams (oh and the S6 mob of course) to do it. We’re one of them and I don’t know about you but I’m determined to enjoy this while it lasts, beats bloody league one hands down!

I am determined to enjoy it which is why I won’t let the season be defined by whether or not we get promoted.

Leeds and West Brom top two

Play off winner will be whoever gets into the play offs on the back of a good run and scrapes into the top 6 In the latter few weeks, still expect Villa to click and make play offs tbh

Agree with your top two forecast, based purely on how they played at the Lane. However both have managers who are new to the Championship and could potentially falter if pressure is maintained by the teams just below (hopefully us).
As for the play offs, if CW/AK can manage to rotate the squad a little and still pick up enough points, and we are lucky enough to avoid injuries, then we have as much chance as any of the other contenders.

Personally I'm one of those who doesn't get remotely bothered with other fans writing us off.

It's nice to get plaudits but I'm more than comfortable going under the radar or not being seen as a genuine threat.

I’m willing to bet that no matter what other fans are saying other teams’ managers don’t write us off and we’re not under their radar.
And ultimately, it matters not what other supporters or pundits think. They don’t have a crystal ball. In 90/91 we were certs for relegation. In 06/07 after beating Arsenal pundits were saying we’d no chance of going down. I don’t think we’ll go up but WTF do I know? I’ve been wrong about lots of stuff.
