Got family that live in Walker and blackhall. Worked at Blythe power station 70s/80s. Stayed in digs Whitley bay. It was absolutely buzzing back then.

I work in the region for at least a couple of days every month. Used to love staying in Whitley Bay late nineties early noughties , but like you say, bit of a dump now. Sad to see.

I travel to Newcastle (Longbenton) working 12 hour shifts and I lodge at Wallsend
but travel back to Sheffield on my days off ..... season ticket on the TC stand Gangway E
right on the half way line ... only been to 3 away games though Bolton, Wigan, Derby.
