Mi Mam was from Ashington. Spent the summer holidays up there for years as a kid with mi Gran, Grandad Aunts and Uncles. Mi Mam lived next door to the Charltons on Milburn Road as a young girl. She left home at 14 to work as a housemaid for a posh rich family in Leamington Spa.
