Did you know that former penalty king and ex-Blade Nick Blackman is currently playing in Spain for Sporting de Gijon? He scored against Valencia on Tuesday in his side's 2-1 home win in the Copa Del Rey.

Not that many British ex-Blades end up playing in Spain. In fact I can't think of any! He may well be the first.

First time I've heard of that. I was in the Rat Race in 2009. But, I am happy to report my Spanish Beer Ticks list now stands at 40.
