Is all these posters saying Wilder should shoulder the blame for the side he picked.......

When most of the 'team for Sunday' posts mimicked exactly what he fucking sent out.
I've done that exact thing :D

I think Wilder is at fault for how he set the team up formation wise and tactically. But it's the XI I'd have picked

The line up was fine. On paper that side would win League One. The application was the issue and we seemed to take way too try and foil Barnet's tactic of knocking it long to the inside of the full backs, to exploit that gap (particularly on our right).

Who are the specific posters slagging off the team selection they themselves wanted?

There was absolutely nothing funny about today.

A 300 mile round trip to watch us play like that. I'd have been better off going to a fucking park somewhere local and watching football there instead. They were a disgrace today I'm afraid and it really bloody hurts me to say that after what we've had over the last couple of years.

Same old group of hindsighters who came out after players like Hammond and Adkins came in as manager. Absolute wank fest on here on day one but you can’t find anybody to admit that now

You should email Chris Wilder or the club at least to show how far you come and the costs you incurred because I’d be bloody pissed off with a day out of my life and the personal cost of you coming to watch a piss poor match, if anything the players should know!

Hat off to you pal, all the way from Norfolk and a 300 mile round trip. What are the budgies saying about the promotion race pal?

Will you ever come to another third round tie against lower league opposition?

It’s a nail in the FA Cup’s coffin each time this happens. People tolerate losing. People tolerate watching a reserve team if it wins. But a losing reserve team...

Mate we're all hypocrites as football fans sometimes.

The biggest tools amongst our fanbase in this regard are those who like to portray themselves as taking the high ground but the themselves in knots trying to do so.

Just take a look at this board from Thursday/Friday up to today. A few were initially anti Madine when it was first mooted, but soon starting digging at those unhappy when they realised it was happening.

No problem with the team selection jus the way they played.

My only concern is it’s on the back of the Madine furore and now has put unnecessary pressure on the QPR game. If it goes wrong there the atmosphere around the fan base is going to rapidly turn toxic.

Is it? Isn’t the romance of the FA Cup and all that, build on giantkillings?

Used to be, but the increasing regularity of them proves the point (as demonstrated by Wilder sending out the Odd Bunch today) that "big" clubs don't care.

Good question. I don’t want to diminish Barnet’s achievement. But as a Blade I know we didn’t take the game seriously enough in selection or application. And that really kills interest in such games.

It makes me more sad for the competition than it makes me upset at going out in that fashion. Honestly, if we’d put out our first XI and put a shift in, I’d be gutted tonight. But I’m fully caught up in the club’s evident apathy.

I'm a hypocrite and happy to admit it .
Although I'm a ST holder I really couldn't be arsed to watch our reserves play a non league side on a Sunday afternoon... still annoyed that we lost and appeared not to put in a performance . I suppose I expected an easy win , seams like the players did too .

The QPR game was already important.. it’s now huge to get the momentum moving again and calm the Madine ruckus down. All so much unnecessary pressure.

I think the funniest thing is all the piggies taking the piss because a lower league side came and had a go at us, when only a couple of months ago they came and couldn’t even muster up an attack

Don't get it, do you think the posters should shoulder the blame?

It's his job mate. Not that I think the team he picked was wrong, but he is the manager.

I'd still come because I love the FA Cup and of course love the blades, both have given me some unforgettable days out in my lifetime.

I appreciate it's likely the team will be changed and I accept that. What I don't accept is an entirely pathetic performance against any opposition let alone a non league team.

Think you misunderstood.

The 'team for sunday' thread basically contained shit loads of varying formations with more or less the same 10/11 changes wilder made. Which basically means most of us wanted the reserves out.

Now we've lost, most are saying Wilder should take the blame for fielding the reserves.

Ahem, at least one of us demurred..

They've a lot of injuries at the moment and are a little hesitant to look too far ahead, a good attitude to have I reckon. If we go at them hard in a couple of weeks I think we will get a decent result.

So out of all of the people who have no idea about the players fitness abilities and attitudes and the one man who should, you're digging out the former
?

He will (please) as been as shocked as everyone else, but the everyone else carry no responsibility.

Just the way they performed, their approach and attitude. His assessment of those is spot on. A number of fringe players fucked up big time today. Some weren’t fully match fit but others - Johnson, Lundstram, Washington and to a slightly lesser extent Coutts, Cranie and Clarke really left themselves down

So you think he sent players out thinking they were unfit? I don't buy that. I think he was sold out big time by players who didn't look like they gave a fuck.

His post match interview kinda backs this up.

And that's the club's fault?
Or do the fans become toxic twats when things go wrong, which they often do on a football pitch?
The last few seasons with Wilder at the helm disappear in a puff of smoke when someone misplaces a pass or we let in a soft goal.

Maybe we should all get kiddie concession tickets?
