I think Mary Poppins is still on at the pictures, you wouldn't have to boo or compare your fellow blades to French prostitutes under nazi occupation then, or even explain it to him. Good grief, it's a fucking football team for pitys sake not sure start.

You can just disagree mate. It’s fine :) no need to start at a 10. I tried to put my point across respectfully.

You never answered the question about why your username is morgan’s elbow?

Surely someone with high morals like yourself wouldn’t be paying homage to an incident which left a man with a fractured skull?

I don’t think I have “high morals.” I would have thought my moral standards are fairly well aligned with society norms in that I am disgusted by a fully grown man assaulting a young lady on a night out for not kissing him, or knowing who he is and I also disapprove of a man assaulting another on account of the football team he supports

As a teenager my moral standards were potentially a even lower than the average, hence the distasteful username that you have pointed out. Have asked Foxy if it’s possible to change to something a little less abrasive. However, my username does not invalidate any of the points I’ve raised. Ever heard of “play the ball, not the man.”

Footballers in general are absolute self righteous wankers. Maybe it’s the money, maybe it’s the mentality. There are a few that are genuinely amazing people, we have our fair share at our club now but they’re few and far between as far as footballers go.

But if you’re looking towards footballers who regularly cheat to win, cheat on their missus every time they go out, snort narcotics off a hookers tits every few weeks as rolemodels (footballers in general, not aimed at anyone in paticular) then maybe you need to look at your parenting.

I’m not sure my post warranted that level of contempt if I’m honest. I was merely stating a comparison that already exists with regards to public servants. The line that can’t be crossed is a solid one, a criminal conviction. Shades of moral ambiguity is an equivocal fallacy. Take footballer and replace it with school teacher and you can see the issue.

Sorry if that how it came across. But I was questioning whether you were displaying double standards in relation to role models. Your point is also a fallacy. Public servants DO keep their jobs with criminal convictions.

Madine is certainly not, and by some way, a role model for a child. But there are plenty of lauded players who aren't, but in different ways.

And footballers aren't doctors, teachers, coppers or priests.

I think you’re getting mixed up with Julie Andrews playing the part of an Austrian Nun rather than a French prossie.

She did end up shagging her boss though. Dirty mare.

Given that even coppers can get/keep a job with criminal convictions.
Yeah not sure which occupation doesn't even allow spent convictions, that was the whole reason behind having this function in the justice system.

Strange, he was on the bench for the spurs game on Tuesday. If he’s not injured would have thought he’d play today. God I hope he’s injured.

Comparing nazi’s and the Sheffield United management team might be a stretch even by our fans standards.

You’ve got to be pretty thick to come that conclusion from what I wrote.

I specifically said that your comments remind me of those French Birds and I didn’t mention the management team of SUFC at all.

Your comment only makes sense if you are actively posting on here with the management teams support whilst you are insulting other Blades including the lad who spent time in hospital at Madines hands. But we know that you aren’t doing it with their support.

You sir are a first ballot hall of fame moron!

Fact that no announcement has been made today makes me think that it's not a done deal. They could be quibbling over money, but I reckon it's also likely that some board members are dead against this move. Wilder should always have the final say on transfers but I hope that some people are having second thoughts.

I am quite literally dumbfounded that people don’t think booing our players is anything other than completely detrimental.

I think your personal crusade is clouding your interpretation of what people are writing. Your entitled to your opinion as others are to theirs.

Maybe one thing to ponder, has any prospective signing ever caused this amount of a shit storm?

Go round in circles for ever on this one.

To quote tour idol, "screw you guys, I'm going home".

Coming from the bloke who has in the past hour compared Sheffield United ‘s management duo to the third reich. Brilliant.

Yes. Ched Evans only a year and half ago.

It’s definitely softening but civil servants, nurses, doctors, and teachers will need a clean CRB 99% of the time. I’ll absolutely acknowledge that it’s perhaps not as cut and dry in every instance.

I don't think it did.

Evans conviction was quashed. None of Madine's have.

Anyway, that's my last comment about him, frustrating that the violent tramp has caused this amount of animosity between fellow blades, he's not taking up any more of my time, the shit house needs cleaning.

Third Reich, Nazi’s?

Come on, someone post the “H” word so the thread can die a natural death.

He is signing. 100%.

Ahhh a perfect example of a straw
man argument. My post clearly articulates a reservation and caution about whom my lad idolises, but you already knew that, didn’t you? ;) 7/10 wumming, the parenting bit got my goat for a second, but then I remembered it’s Saturday night on a football forum.

But DO hold a privileged position, are incredibly compensated, and idolised in the public eye. More than any nurse, teacher etc could ever hope to be. Surely that should count for something? Look, I’m by no means a Puritan, and hold largely liberal views about tolerance, forgiveness and society. I just think the game could hold a certain level of standards to be afforded the luxury. Fair?
