Well if that’s your preferred style, enjoy.

As for noise and nonsense. Nice try but you’re completely wrong. The Knill and Wilder interviews are still on Football Heaven Online. Have a listen. They entirely refute the early crosses drivel. Sorry. I know Bladey Blades see things as they wish rather than as they are. I deal in uncomfortable truths.
What do you mean my preferred style? o_O

I don’t have to listen to words from Wilder or Knill as the actions I’ve seen on the pitch speak louder. Sometimes pinchy it’s better to use common sense more than some sort of made up logic. :)

What is funny though is that IF Mr Madine signs (and it's not a given that he will yet despite all the seemingly mass hysteria on here tonight) is that some certain self righteous egotistical posters on here who think they are Wilders wingmen and claim that they know what he thinks and how he thinks, actually know fuk all about him and his thinking really.

Some posters go on constantly about the beautiful game and how it should be played. They are almost incandescent with rage at the thought of a long ball being played - they think that little old us should play teams off the park every match with total football. Yet they consistently fail to recognise that back on planet Earth reality exists. In reality all successful teams have a plan B where they change it up and mix it up to help them win games. If it means that we have to go more direct with 15 to go to win a match after the total football has failed, then bring it on. I'm all for it.

I'm quite happy to admit that i don't know how CW's mind works, but id wager that he also thinks having a plan B at times can heelp you win tight games, and winning consistently gets you promotion.

If Wilder wants him that's fine by me. What the hell do I know I'm not a football manager. If he's a success we will all say Wilder is a genius. If he fails then Wilder gets pelters.
Wilder is the best manager we've had for years, I trust him to make the right decisions with the limited pot he's got. Iets, wait and see.
Certainly a strange one, this. No doubt there will be badge-kissing after the first goal, which will be bizarre in the extreme.
Not particularly happy if this turns out to be true, But I will get behind the manager. I will find it hard to cheer though, even if/when he scores.

Totally agree....also let’s be honest....Wilder has earnt himself so much goodwill/ respect due to him consistently overachieving.
Wilder seems to have this skill of playing to a players strengths and making them look much better than their abilities at other clubs.

If the deal goes through you can bet that Wilder will make reference to the James Hanson addition when we were in league 1.
And explain that height and physicality and something we currently really lack up front.
He’ll say that Madine offers us something totally different and will be a really useful addition.
We do win loads of corners and never look like scoring. Madine will make us a threat.
He’ll also say he’s done a full background check on his character, CW has already admitted that he’s mates with the management team at Bolton, so will have spoke to them. He will have also spoken to his players (including Billy Sharp) and everyone is fine.
No need to do a full background check. Just trawl through local papers, wherever he’s been employed

Some of our fans need to grow up. If it's OK with CW and Billy then it's OK with me. Haven't we learnt anything after Del boy, Alan Quinn and Bromby came here? OK, I know, this is different - he's a 6' 4" mean bastard who knows how to wind every F***** up wherever he goes. That may well include his ex-fans closer to the business end of the season. This may well turn out to be the ultimate Rabbit out of CW's near-legendary magic hat.
Let's remember we have no business to be where we are according to most posters on this Forum, so I'm certainly not going to get too wound up about the doom-masters and would be well-poisoners sounding off like we're just about to Canonize Adolf Hitler. Chill out folks.........

Just wanted to offer my view as a Wednesday fan.

No point going on about his off the field antics as it's well documented.

As a player I really rated him when he was with us. I thought that he was more than a target man and was a decent finisher. I think he'd do well for you to be honest.

Anyway, happy new year and good luck for the rest of the season lads and lasses.
Please go away.

11am tomorrow. You need to show your disdain before we sign him.
Unfortunately, and despite being the organiser I cant be there myself as I'll ne far too hungover so if someone could lob a shoe in some direction and tear up a season ticket on my behalf I'd be fantastically grateful.

DO IT DO IT DO IT.
I’ll fully support the internet group for this. Perhaps someone could add me to the WhatsApp club on it

The big picture is promotion.

CW wants Madine and has probably given it much thought - it seems a lot of our fans are completely dismissing this.

He must have thought through comments like yours, which I and many others accept by the way - I am not easy with it myself.

You don't have to support the man - support the player and the team - I see it as the only way some of our fans can get by and fully appreciate it to be a tough ask.

UTB

Take away him as a person and just leave the footballing side and I don’t think he is the key to us winning promotion. I don’t see that as the big picture because I don’t rate him as a player. I think he’s shit! He did very little for Cardiff last year, he had zero impact on their promotion.

This is the thing that I can’t understand. Whenever Madine has been used as that kind of player he has been really poor scoring hardly any goals. His only two spells of scoring regularly were when he was one of the first names on the team sheet and played 90 mins every week.

If he’s coming in to occasionally play the last fifteen minutes then his stats show he’s likely to do exactly what he did for Cardiff last year performing the same role which was nothing.

Song for Madine; to the tune by the Beatles:

We love you yeah yeah yeah
We love you yeah yeah yeah
With looks like that
We know you can’t bad

:-)

That’s complete guesswork isn’t it?

Call it an educated guess based on a number of factors.

It's funny that no one here is backing you up your 100% accurate point of view.

Unless this just supports your view that you = well-connected football genius and everyone else = poorly-connected football numbskulls. In which case, it says a fair bit about you and we should probably give up here.

Accompanied by sounds of a barrel bottom being vigorously scraped, one would imagine. It’s hardly Bernie Taupin. :D

A protest against Madine is a protest against Chris Wilder. Feckin grow up and get behind the manager, club and player. If it's good enough for Wilder is good enough for me....

Welcome Gary Madine :) (if it happens)
Wilder out. :)

It’d be no from me but it’s not my decision, it’s the decision of someone with more football knowledge than anyone on here so I’ll put my opinion to one side and go with his decision. I think deep down those who don’t want him were hoping for a bit more quality. I know I was even believing we don’t have much money for transfer fees.

Those saying they aren’t going again or that they’ll boo him are just being daft.

More quality is definitely a key point.

That's a polite way of saying, he's a bit dog shit and no better than what we've got.

(and he's still an utter prick, I hope Leon knocks him aht).

Not too sure what to make of this signing. Master shithousery. Decent target man. If not the best out of the premier. There's the positives. Massive bellend (allegedly) likes a beer and ex pig. Doubt this would've been sanctioned without a meeting with the captain and vice captain. If they're happy. I'm happy. For those in uproar. Flick your mind back to when Clarke was first announced.
