People can believe whatever they like. He was a fucking twat for doing it either way and was rightly banged up. All I was doing was pointing out, as others have, that it seems odd that the victim just said 'United' and that was enough for a crack in the jaw. Again, it may well have gone down that way, but it feels like one of those tales where if one of your kids told you that you'd get the feeling there was more to it.

Having met some absolute twat football fans I would bet my left teste that it didn't go down that way. He's obviously not the calmest of individuals and deservedly was punished, and I'd prefer we didn't sign him but that tale is not fully told.

Aside from the evidence that points to him being a violent scumbag, he us not a good footballer .

He was never remotely worth the £4m that Warnock spunked. His goal record makes this abundantly clear.

If he is the only player we are allowed to buy, then we are in the shit.

Can we move on from discussing this oxygen theif areshole?

It's him or Marquis

That's me and Tufty in the Red Lion at Todwick. I'm showing him my caravan accommodation details for my March holiday in Chapel St Leonards. He's going to lend me one of his mosquito nets. You can never be too careful, he said. How anybody can mistake 5 foot nowt me for 6' 2" Gary Madine is anyone's guess.... Sheesh...

I can't say I am wild about this but Wilder wants us to get promoted as much as any of us. Billy's on fire, McG is coming good but Leon has lost it.

If Billy or McG get crocked (God forbid), we are well fucked, Madine as a backup is just about OK with me,

This is what billy said after the fat cunt incident...

"I had no problem with it. He texted one of the lads who play with me now on the Monday morning - as far as I'm concerned it was done then. But the media did try to make a thing of it and the Bolton fans thought they'd sing to me to try and get to me but, obviously, it worked in my favour (as Sharp scored both goals in a 2-0 win for Sheffield United)."

We don't just watch them play football though do we, we actively support a team and its players. It's as if you don't remember what it was like to support a team that was completely disconnected to its fans under Adkins etc. But I suppose it doesn't matter that we think Adkins or Hammond were twats, we only go to watch a ball get kicked.

If Adkins had won matches we'd love him, it's as simple as that, the only reason for being "disconnected" was because we were struggling.

Adkins comes across as a nice bloke, but then again I don't know him personally. Maybe you could back up why he is a twat? Not being a good enough manager for United, doesn't make someone a twat.

I can absolutely guarantee you from personal experience in a professional football club that consultation about potential signings DOES happen. Normally just with the captain/vice captain, but nonetheless it happens.

I too have that personal experience. It doesn’t,

I can assure you that it does happen.

For someone who claims to know a lot about football you often do a very good job of proving otherwise

I assure you it doesn’t. Not on incoming transfers. They are not told, never mind consulted.

I know more about almost everything than you do my friend.

They also fail to change or make amends too.

All I'm saying is, if we want to crack on an achieve promotion, there must be other options without resorting to a player who isn't in form, has publicly slagged off our club in the past, assaulted our fans, slagged off our captain, acted like a shitehouse against us and has convictions off the field for generally being a dick. He isn't the only option on the open market.

That's not too much to ask, really.

So in summary he chinned a guy in a pub, wound a few bleeding hearts up and.....wait for it.....accused Billy of being fat. You'll be struggling in your open market to find someone with the requisite fine upstanding morals in your quest for the perfectly behaved footballer.

Fantastic timing by Wilder, I must say. The fans finally unite and rally behind the team, creating the sort of atmosphere that could get us promoted, then barely a week later we're signing Madine, who will divide the fans, cause a lot of ill feeling and only lead to a flatter atmosphere at Bramall Lane.

Possibly a huge asset negated before we've even had time to benefit from it.

Not really, he took a swing at a lad who was unprepared, broke his jaw and broke his cheekbone in five places. Kid ends up in hospital.

wizadry give him a couple more hours digging! Only in s36

Just wait for the signing when Chris says I spoke to Billy and he’s fine with it then hopefully this fucking clown can depart taking this bladey shit with him

Don’t be like that about the club captain. He’s doing his best.

You seriously think Tufty asks players who he can and can’t sign? What if Bladey Bill says ‘no thanks?’ Where do we go then? Who’s in charge.

Madness in S2.

Really ? We put more balls in the box than any other team in the league ,we need additional strength and height to cause more problems to the opposition ,do you really not see that ? Why do you think there has been talk of Carroll and Crouch ,for their dribbling ability ?

So which of McGoldrick and Sharp would you be wanting him to replace them?

I too have that personal experience. It doesn’t,
James Shield's article in the Star: "United's most senior players are believed to have signalled their willingness to work with Madine, aged 28, as they chase top-flight football."

It's almost like not every professional football club works in the same manner isn't it. Unless of course you've worked for all 92 league clubs? Which I'm sure you have.
